Subject: Uh... Bungie.net/forums just made the Weekend Web.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

The Flood defibnatley has a clique (sp?).

Its a fairly tight nit group. I am not a pat of it.

The Septagon has some what of a community. Im not shure if im in it or not.

NEW MOMBASA has a pretty good Fanfic community. Just look at the threads and how large they are getting. People are enjoying thise storys.

But there is one problem. People like different personality types. Ex. (sorry if this offends anyone somehow) People from the Septagon are known for their maturity. They are known for actually contributing to topics and having real conversations. Then there is the other extreme. The typical Flood guy. Unafraid to post anything, regardless of relativity, or whether or not it makes any notable sense.
No, it's just the sort of people that the board descriptions attract. My point is that, rather than saying "The Septagon's better than The Flood, which is better than Zanzibar" (or propagating these cliques), you should be posting in all those boards, talking about whatever is on-topic for there.

I used to post in every thread. But now the Zanzibar is like a Giant Forrest Fire.

I post in most other forums, if i see a topic that i havnt posted in 500 times before.

Its hard sometimes.

There is oonly so many OMFG I HATE MODDERS threads i can post in

OR HALO 2 is for noobs and Halo 1 is better.

It gets old sometimes you know?

You have a good point.

I used to post in the Underground a lot. Then, the Halo 3 threads started moving on in. I posted less and less. Now, I only check it like once a day, and it's very rare that I post.

Why do I feel like this is propoganda to find a new Mod worthy person?

As for the type of conversation, or the type of people in these forums. Let me use myself as and example. No matter what forum I go into, I act the same. Smart, witty, better-than-the-average-joe. I try and help people when they need it, or make fun of them when they won't listen. I tried to have an intelligent conversation in Zanzibar, and holy crap, I did. Perhaps instead of giving up on a certain forum, or a certain person, why not start testing each place to see what they need. Be it a new game, a new story, a new intelligent conversation or just a new face to spice things up a bit. You'd be surprised at how much we, working together, could get done.

okay, I will admit the coment was offenseive, but it was still a joke directed at preserving the septagon's maturity from the flood's stupitidy, and as was said earlier, the description says "post you stupid stuff here" It should be stupid, and mockable(is that a word) also, If we are going to try and pull the comunity together maybe we should try going to the flood and z-blam!-bar, instead of talking about them here

why is that forum name blocked out?
I also rarely tread into the once-sacred undergournd, but for the sake of the community i will try and create oldskool topics in there. And i actually find zanzibar funny, sadly it is rarley enriching

I'll be on my own side.

I know how bad forums can be. I came here from the IGN forums. Those were bad. Wannabe moderators running around, people starting topics asking for adoptions and WULs. The Xbox forums are no better. People here are usually more intelligent than in other forums, and the moderators here actually interact with us, instead of the others, who might as well be bots who ban people.

I try to keep my topics free of flames and morons. Hency why I don't make very many topics. I also try to keep my posts on topic and intelligent. I got a cookie from Shishka for that today. A nice birthday present for me.

The SA thing was funny though.

I useually hang around the Septagon because well talking about Bungie.net and the Bungie lore I find more interesting that the constant talk about HAL0 2 comments (unfortunatly most of them complaints)
The subjects in the FL00D arn't that bad. It is just sometimes people mistake off-topic for the right to be a troll.

5/5 Stars - Kritz.net

:\

How about this; I post every day in The Flood. But I'm not exactly vomiting stupid from my ears now, am I? The Flood has now become the possibly most relaxed forum on B.Net. Sure, I wasn't around to see most of the old members talk about what ever it is that they talked about, seeing as how I joined around the time of the "big hole" thread.

Maybe it's just that I've grown up as Flood, but I still think that most of us can manage to be funny without crossing the line. The whole marrige thing I enjoyed, up until a month or two ago, where it seemed like a rule to be married.

I've been trying to come up with fun group activities to get the forum with one another (Like my Machinima idea) and after this I'm probably going to try to do something else.

But again, I stand by being Flood. Insult it as much as you want. It's still my forum, and even if it does one day, be completly over0run by spam, I'll stay. Stay and have fun with what would be the newer group, instead of complaining about them.

I think the site's right. The flood's always been stupid. Sometimes I prefer posting in Zanzibar, you know? At least you don't get any posts saying "I wish Zanzibar was the way it used to be".

I would like to see more Oni-topics in The Underground but it does seem to be filled with Halo 3 speculation threads, which sort of puts me off, especially as it seems that most Underground members are simply new fans of Halo (at last count 11/17 threads are Halo related).

Anyway as all I am tired of those "Talk about the user above you" threads. There's a difference between random humour and spam.

i think they probably do because they cant normally run or jump and get off the ground, so its like a new experience for them

But since I wasn't here when the forums were apparently at their peak I can't really comment.
