Subject: Do the Sangheili and humans contact each other again?

After they part ways, do they ever make contact again? In the canon I mean, not just under assumptions.

I am the last of the primes.

sure they have a big victory parade, they both get drunk and 1 thing leads to another. Bam- an ugly baby is born.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Duhh, arby 'n' the chief, of course they make contact, they practically live by each other.

On topic...

I don't think they will, there is way too much tension between the two races, if they were to ever meet up again, another war could break out. There races just don't mix well.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

There's still a lot of blood between the two races, they're not just going to buddy up after the Sangheili wiped out several billion humans over a 27 year period.

However, the end of The Return suggests that the answer to the unnamed Sangheili Ship Master's questions lies with humanity. He is seen rescuing a human after discovering they've been tampering with Forerunner artefacts, so it's quite likely that they'll be meeting again.

I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. ~ Mark Twain

I'm sorry, but what is this Return you speak of?

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

That only happened once

OT: They probably would have ambassadors but they wouldn't be playing local halo, only over live, because they don't really like eachother

Return is a short story in the Halo Evolutions anthology. It is about how a Sangheili ship master once glassed the human colony of Kholo, and returns there after the war. He finds a wounded human and (I think) takes him with him.
I don't own Evolutions, that's what I've garnered from other's posts on the subject, and also Halopedia.

I would think that they would, it's only logical that both races to learn from each other, but it would take time to get over the war.
Fot those who say that the war means they will never speak to one another, remember this: The British Hate the French, they fight wars against them, yet they still helped to save the French in not one, but two World Wars.

I don't think that the general public will fully accept Sangheili as allies for a long while, but the people who fought alongside them will be more inclined to interact with them. I think that the UNSC will make a formal alliance with them and negotiate some kind of agreement on sharing technology or visiting each others planets or whatever.

I think it is likely that the Sangheili will still communicate with humans, even if their homeworld is far away. Some might even move to Earth to learn about human culture. (Vice versa with humans)

From the Office of Dr. William Arthur Iqbal

"The Covenant threat is lifted for the moment, but I very much doubt that our agreement with the Sangheili and their representative, the Arbiter, is the end of our conflict with the other Covenant species."

They made a peaceful agreement, with the Arbiter and Usze Taham, (one of the two bonus elites in Halo 3 you play as) acting as political liasons to the human race on behalf of the Elites.

Luke Marshall sent from ipad

The return by Kevin grace.

It's on page 488. And I quite like the elites, I just think they have such a character I can't seem to find anywhere else.
