What I am saying is that when you have two SMG's will you have to use bolth triggers to fire bolth of them. No insulting comments please. thanks =)

Yes, you will have to use both triggers for the dual weapons in Halo 2. This was known a long time ago. Unfortunately, this also means you won't be able to use grenades.

Thats not to good for me. In Red Faction 2 i had to use bolth triggers and somehow my accuracy was not as good. Not by much though and it does not feel comfortable holding bolth of them down when moving the right analog stick. =(

It was confirmed in the recent June OXM - check my post, here. page 3.

I also think this is a bad design decision. Even more troubling is the "pull up" they were actually promoting. I mean, it's great in realistic games like Rainbow Six 3, but Halo is an action game. And adding this is absolutely retarded in an action game, no matter what. Pull-up has ruined many would-be titles, like Far Cry for example.

What is this "pull-up" you speak of, and why is it so bad? I mean, I'm not saying it's good or anything. But then again, that'd probably because I haven't the foggiest idea of what it is (though I can take guesses, they may very well not be right).

I'm guessing "pull-up" is where the guns start to go up when you fire. I also think this is quite annoying.

And maybe my memories a little rusty but didn't someone or some magazine say the Y button will be the new button for the grenade when dual weilding? I don't know I'll have to find the June 2003 OXM and find out.

Edit button. EDIT BUTTON.

And nope. No grenades. That's because both your hands are busy at the moment (and unlike big guns like the assault rifle, you can't just shift both guns into one hand for a short moment).

Dual triggers would be really weird. Also, there would be no point. If one trigger was for one gun and the other trigger for other gun, then why would anyone shoot only one gun when they have out two guns? And for people like me who use the boxer setting, where the gernade button and the melee button have been switched, would that mean that I have to hit the B button for my second gun? Or would they revert themselves and have dual triggers anyway? And if that was the case, then the gernade button would be nonexistant, until the weapons were switched.

why wouldn't you use both triggers? i mean, its not like you'll be able to throw greandes during dual weilding anyway. it was a bit annoying with the pistols in RF2, but they sucked so i never used them, and Halo's pistols were auto-fire anyway so... but i had no problem other wise. having an un-used trigger during dual-weilding is just pointless.

why would you use the y button the throw grenades? it switches the weapons, remember?

as for the pull back thingy, thats what really ruined the machine gun in quake II.

Well, considering how one of the examples they used was a plasma pistol + SMG combo, it'd just be kinda -blam!- to be forced to waste ammo on an elite shield that's gonna drop as soon as you PP is anyway, now wouldn't it? The whole thing is that you can combo the weapons up for strategy, not just increased firepower.

Alright, I see the reason for dual triggers. I'm infering that it would be impossible to melee someone with dual weapons, seeing as how the gernade button disappears. That being the case, what would happen to the B button during combat?

Most likely (or should I say, hopefully), there will be two config settings. One for single-wielding, and one for dual-weilding. That way, if you really wanted to, you could use A and X to fire while dual-wielding. And no, don't ask me what kind of person would want to do that, because I don't know.

Forget who would do that, but why switch the fire trigger with anything? And who said anything about the A and X buttons? Why not use the white and black buttons instead? Don't ask me who would do that either.

I do agree that the pull back idea would be annoying. But XIII has it and thats ok. But this is MC we're talking about, He can pick up tanks!!

Also about the grenade throwing dual weapons. Im fine with the stopping of grenades while dual is in use. It wont make sense to throw while a gun is in your hand! Would it?
