Subject: Halo Reach lone wolf... the 7 spartans?!?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I have seen the 7 dead spartans on lone wolf and I was wondering, is there something behind this...

I know 7 is Bungie's number but why have these spartans here?!?

Are they a missing squad not mentioned in the books or could they hold a more important role.?!?

Please discuss and thank you...

I think Bungie just wanted to show how hopeless the end was, that spartans could die...

That sounds reasonable, BUT what I don't understand is how I missed ALL of the spartans in the squad defending the pillar of Autum...

It looked like they had JUST died when I was engaging the covenant in lone wolf...

How could you tell? But maybe 6 hooked up with that team and he was the last man standing? It would explain the overwhelming covenant force in the area...

Becuase, I am just basing this off of We had no contact with the sparatn squad and their sudden apperance when the cruiser was destroyed...

But I see your point, I just wanted to know THEIR part in Reach and what THEY did (I know they defended Reach obviously), just like Noble Team...

What a waste....

Kat and Jun talk about them being on the radio before the Field Marshall snipes Kat.

I think that because all UNSC forces had evacuated, the spartans were just trying to hold out against overwhelming odds. They could also be survivors(temporarily) from Beta Red....

I'm agent Nahman Jayden, eff-bee-eye.

There are 13 dead spartans, not 7.

Really, I have only seen and heard about seven spartans...

They must of been trying to get evaced at the Pillar of Autum and were killed on the way...

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

This.

There are 13, then Noble Six dies and makes it 14. There's your 7 reference.
