Remember when the Arbiter returns to Sanghelion with the surviving elites? What will happen to them in Halo 4 and what role will they play?

It broke up, all the races went their seperate ways. I beleive the Prophets went extinct.

"This is the prototype NOVA Bomb, nine fusion warheads encased in lithium triteride armor. When detonated, it compresses its fissionable material to neutron-star density, boosting the thermonuclear yield a hundredfold. I am Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb, temporarily in command of the UNSC military base Reach. To the Covenant uglies that might be listening, you have a few seconds to pray to your damned heathen gods. You all have a nice day in hell..."

The Elite's and Brutes continue on fighting each other until the Elite's win in the end

I think the Prophets go into hiding

The Grunts go home(I think)

The hunters go back to eating Forerunner junk

The prophets went into hiding which caused the brutes to go back to their savage ways of civil war, allowing the elites to have the upper hand.

True, every last Prophet was infected by the Flood as their home is on High Charity, which was the Gravemind's Headquarters in Halo 3.

Also like Jon said the Kig-Yars became pirates like they used to be.

I doubt any Loyalist Grunts or Jackals or Drones survived at all. The Brutes don't seem like the ones who would drop them off at their home planets and continue fighting the Elites on their own.

If I didn't watch the ending, I wouldn't have known the covenant goes back to Sanghelion.

The brutes after the war were on the endangered species list.

You spelled their planet wrong.

The Prophets (San-Shy'uum) are a large race, not just 3 people. The High Council was composed mainly of San-Shy'uum, and most Covenant scientists were San-Shy'uum, who made weapons, ships, and other Covenant tech. They have their own planet, as Elites, Brutes, Grunts and all the other races do.

I really know nothing about what happens after Halo 3. I'm guessing that the Elites (Seperatists), being an imitative race, started to fall, and the Brutes (Loyalists) had the San-Shy'uum on their side, allowing them to be constantly supplied with ships and such. The Elites were more intelligent and better fighters, and it's probably an even fight, even as Elites supplies dwindle. Mind you that the Loyalists and Seperatists both had other species, but the Seperatists species were not shown in Halo 3, as to not confuse the player, but they both had Grunts, Jackals, Hunters and Drones on their sides, while Loyalists had the San-Shy'uum, the smartest, but weakest species. The Loyalists were also leaderless and very disorganized.

If anything, I think that as the Humans began to rebuild, they gave a helping hand to the Elites, as the Elites had done to them, and helped them understand the technology and such. Together, they'd probably form some sort of alliance, the Humans helping with tech, and Elites helping the humans rebuild. I remember reading there was a six-year war between the Loyalists and the Seperatists after the end of the Human-Covenant war, the Seperatists just barely making it through, being superior fighters.

Umm, no. There were only about 500 San-Shy'uum and they all lived on High Charity, and if any did survive, which they didn't that doesn't mean the could build fleets fro the Brutes! Nor make a flow of supplies! The Elites would have won fast and swift, glassed The Brute home world, and returned home.

I'd have to believe that the Covenant still would exist...just without Elites. I mean, the high Prophets were killed, but their race still exists...and the Brutes are pretty fanatical. I wouldn't think they'd give up their pursuit just because the high Prophets died.

Be that as it may, I'd also think that the remaining Covenant would be pretty weak. The Covenant were fractured and high charity was destroyed.

For the Elites, they'd probably try to show the remaining Covenant about the Prophets' lies. They'd most likely also start their own "empire"...possibly still allied with humanity. It was said a few times that the Elites thought highly of human tactics and bravery.

As for humanity, they'd probably rebuild, possibly with the help of the Elites. But most definitely they'd continue uncovering the Forerunner mystery, and continue to investigate their technology and lineage.

In the book the "cole protocol" it's spelled that way.

The Elites go back there, not the Covenant which by that point would no longer exist.

Hope we get to see some post-war Halo games; I've long said that the Halo universe would be perfect for a Mass Effect style RPG.

I totally agree.

Playing as an Elite on Sanghelios and working your way up to getting a ship and joining the Covenant would be amazing. An RPG would be the perfect way to explore the deeper aspects Halo universe from a different perspective in a way that an FPS can't.
