Why was Captain Keyes in the swamp with sgt Johnson in halo ce?Hes an navy officer and shouldnt be in the middle of a covenant base. Moral must have been low because they were stranded, lost keyes and then the flood shows up. I just think that it was a poor choice for keyes to go to the swamp.
Keys crashed his ship, and he is also a bad ass mother-blam!-. Do you not remember him boarding that Innie ship with that group of ODST's and having the chamber de-pressurize by an explosion? He then proceeded to get the innocent civilians into pressurized chambers and commanded the ODST's to use their battle rifles to be used as a propulsion unit, they escaped out of the blown up cargo space and got back to their prowler.
Keyes is no stuck up captain, Keyes is in there with the marines any chance he gets. Where did you read the part about him crashing his ship in a swamp? Those were odsts and innies going inside that container.
It's as if Captain Keys doesn't have any pelicans! Come on, he was captured by the covenant, then he and a group of marines flew off with a seraph (Or was it a pelican?), and into the swamp because the covenant was strangely active in that area.
And you are correct about the innies and ODST's part, it's just been a while since I have read Cole Protocol. Master Chief was with them when they escaped from the Covenant ship. They also had a spirit dropship. Im just saying why would the highest ranking officer on halo go charging into an area full of covenant with 3 squads?
