Ok, it seems like quite a few people use controllers to play Halo PC. I have heard that there isnt any auto-aim on Halo PC, and I thought it would be wayyyy too hard to hit people. Well I was wondering what kind of controllers you guys use?

I don't use a controler, but I tried using one for a couple of days. I used two Saytech Joysticks, pluged them into an usb port, went to Settings in Halo, changed somethings around and wala! The movement (Forward, Backwards, Excetra.) from one Joystick in my left hand and Looking around and shooting in the right. Yes, it's hard to aim, but the main reason I stoped using it was because thier was only 3 butons on each joystick, and thier was so many buttons on the keyboard that where esential to gameplay, that I couldn't assign to an joystick, because, all the buttons where already taken up. So, If you do decide to get a controler, you should get one that has lots of buttons. (Atleast 7)

I would recommend getting used to the keyboard and mouse. They are far more superior to a controller and much more accurate. Give it a few weeks of practice and you should get the hang of it.

I'm an XBox guy, and bought Halo PC because I can't have my XBox at college.

I despise Mouse and Keyboard, and I've been playing it for a few weeks now, doesn't seem to be getting any better.

I reently bought an XBox adapter off of EBay, it gets here maybe tomorrow, I can't wait!

With no auto-aim on Halo pc, it makes it a bit more difficult to play. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just sayin it is much more accurate when trying gun someone down.

yeah Im originally a Halo XBox player which is why I was considering it. But Ive tried killing a teammate on Halo XBox (no auto-aim) and its really really hard. i think ill get used to keyboard and mouse.

Hm, I use the Xbox 360 controller for Halo PC, but I'm having a slight problem. Movement doesn't seem analog (left, right, forward, back) so if the stick isn't pretty well straight forward, you will walk diagonally. Compared to Halo Xbox where tilting the stick forward and slightly to the right will move the chief forward and slightly to the right, simple 8-directional movement just won't do. Is it fully analog for anyone else, or is this something I'll just have to deal with? (That, or switch movement to the d-pad to make things less awkward...)
