hold on just a second, 9 out of 10 people i have known who have said 'crysis is rubbish' are just haters and haven't actually played the game. how is it rubbish exactly?
sorry to say this as well but graphics are very very important, you play games with your eyes for crying out loud so how it looks is one of the key things to the game being immersive, thats the reason why killzone II is better than most halo games (sure the halo universe is better but thats irrelevant when comparing games). sound quality is important too, but second to graphics because what is sound without seeing? playing a game with the monitor turned off?
the fact of the matter is crytek have been innovators, trying to break the mould with their games, pushing the boundries and trying to achieve the holy grail of gaming, which is photorealism since what is more immersive than 'reality'? let me break this down, cryengine2 (crysis engine) has impressive graphics, impressive physics quality and the lighting is the best in any game i have played (far better than reach), the gameplay is quite similar to halo to be honest, except you can approach situations in more than one way, you if you wish sneak though most of crysis if you want, or you can blast your way through, either is possible where-as in halo, COD, etc. you can only shoot your way through, the list goes on and on.
sorry but you disrespect to crytek is short sighted and stupid at best, insulting one of the very finest studios in the business. also finally 343 are making future halo games, not crytek so quit fabricating information..! before anyone says as well, im not a halo hater, quite the opposite really.
also before i forget, your all forgetting far cry from cryteks catalogue. for me it was an important moment, since when far cry came out all other games were dark, linear, etc. and crytek came along with a bright, vibrant and immersive game.
