Now I know it goes completely against the canon of Reach but did/does anyone miss the flood? It would have been cool to have them as an option in firefight but that's just my opinion. Anyone agree? Disagree? Explain and discuss

Not really.

The flood were well-implimented in Halo 1, and had unique character in combat. They were also well-presented in the story in such a way that they were actually scary.

In Halo 2, they feel tacked on in some places, and in Halo 3 fighting them makes combat pretty lethargic.

I like to see them done well, but I don't think Bungie has implimented them well ever since Halo CE.
They're also not something that demands a lot of use; sometimes things are most awesome when only called upon when they're really needed for the storytelling.

I agree except I personally liked the flood in Halo 3. The fact that they could infect and mutate corpses, un-shielded enemies, and even your own marines right in front of your face. To me this made the flood seem alot creepier.
