Dear Diary

The beggining of the End, as the "other" spooks call it, we all knew it was only a matter of time.
Today, we are sending a single Section I Operative on a mission to New Mombasa, his orders were; rescue any and all military survivors. This isnt normal for ONI rescuing anyone, they told him. "The things some of them know must not be learned by the UNSC's citizens.
I have no idea why they insisted on sending a 21 year old boy to save survivors in a burning city, usually ONI sends a person they can trust, but they cant really trust him can they?

-Colonel Johanson

Prologue: Feet First into Hell
Ghost found himself slipping his feet into his combat boots and tied his laces and made it look good. "I'm too young for this." He said, annoyed that he would have to carry out the easy work of an old man.

He suited up into his BDU and ONI armor with grace. He looked into the visor of his Black recon helmet with the letters of his name scratched into the forehead. He saw his reflection; he was growing a beard, and looked as though, he hadnt showered in months. something he would do when he was finished with this task.
His eyes were still blue and his hair was still black, to say the least.

Ghost grabbed the helmet, stood up and bumped his head on the ceiling of his quarters. "Never gonna get used to that." He said annoyed through gritted teeth and sighed as he walked over to the door, which was only a few feet away.

He pressed a button and the door slid open automatically. Only to reveal the unwelcome sight of the bright white lights in the corridors of the UNSC Everest.

-"Gah!" Ghost exclaimed. "My eyes, it burns!" He complained because he had'nt seen a light in 15 hours exactly.

"Quit your whining and get to your pod!" Colonel Johanson shouted annoyed with his immature behaviour. She was standing right next to him, as though she was waiting all night for him to exit his quarters. She probably was, too knowing spooks

"Whatever mom," Ghost said informally and made his way to the bay with the drop pods in them; Ghost didnt know what the room was called.

Ghost slipped his helmet over his ears, and casually entered the pod-bay, he noticed a weapon rack and decided to have a look.

"Hmmm," Ghost hummed as he looked at the series of MA37 ICWSs, DMRs, BRs, MA5C ICWSs and last but surely not least, the accessories.

Ghost hummed a tune and grabbed a MA5C assault rifle and silencer.
Ghost mounted the silencer onto the barrel as he did a thousand times before.
Ghost grabbed two holsters and attached them to his utility belt, he then grabbed two M5CS special ops sidearms and slipped them into his holsters gracefully in one fluid movement.

Ghost blinked his eyes as he saw Colonel Johanson in the fringe of his vision. "You need something Jenny?" Ghost asked her and a small grin appeared on his face, he had always known that ignored her to the full extent of being annoyed.

Ghost turned to face her.

Her face was flushed red with anger, "How can you be so immature in a time like this one?" She questioned of Ghost sounding quite angered.

"I dont know," Ghost answered, "I just am it's my personality..." Ghost paused for a moment, "I cant change who I am can I?"

Colonel Jennifer Johanson laughed bitterly, which made Ghost flinch, how humiliating, he didnt flinch when single handedly took down a platoon of covenant infantry, with a knife but he flinched when his commanding officer laughed angrily.

"You still remember our first date?" Ghost chuckled, forgetting about her angry laugh, the first time they met.
Ghost had a Magnum and those seven elites had energy daggers.
She could'nt control herself and gave Ghost a kiss on the cheek and a hug, and she calls him, immature... Hell he still risked scars to save her, under orders... under orders.

Ghost entered his pod with his MA5C and Magnums and sat on the cushioned seat. he'd need it.

Ghost noticed Jenny's face had changed from anger to a look of embarrassment.

Ghost waved, "I'll be back." He said and the hatch to his Pod; or rather, titanium-A coffin closed.

Ghost felt a sick feeling enter his stomach, and groaned. "Not again," He said to nobody in particular, the exact same second the pod launched.

What a waste....

This forum moves slow. My story hasn't had a comment in days.

An assassin will always carry on, even after death.

I thought it was very good.
One thing though:
You said Ghost too much, instead of saying "Ghost said" or Ghost did" just say "he said" or something like that.

Other than that I thought it was very good.

And This fourm moves very slow. My story went two weeks without a comment.

Can someone explain this to me so that it makes some goddamned sense?

As with what Skul said, you said "Ghost" too many times; say "he" instead. I was only able to skim it real quickly, but I will give you more feedback later today when I take the time to read it.
