Remember, poems don't need to rhyme. Try some half rhymes if you want.
If you've gone through high-school English, you'ld know about SPECS. You should try to use it on your own poem.
Subject - What is it about.
Purpose - Why has the author done what he/she has done, for what "purpose"?
Emotion - What's the mood? What was the author trying to achieve?
Craftsmanship:
-Style
-Language
-Imagry
-Mood
-Sound
Summery.
With "Craftsmanship", which I probably got a few of the SLIMS wrong, try to make sure you've filled in most of the areas, and focas on one stronger then the others.
Just.. do your best. We're not all poets, but we all have imagination.
