If some of you out there love to trick...if some of you out there like simple and fun tricks...if some of you out there...are...reading this...then congratulations, I guess. This thread will list some easy-to-perform glitches and tricks for the Level Halo! Just a sidenote: it would be best to do all these under the easy setting with two players. Also, if some of you can't stand warthog-launching, then have no fear, because none of these tricks have a single launch in them! 'Tis indeed your lucky day! Ah, and onto...the tricks. Mind you, some are utterly useless, but cool nonetheless.
* The hidden bridge
When you first start the level, walk partly over the first bridge. Below it is another identical bridge. Simply slide off of this one and duck before landing on the one below. I warn you, sliding off and dying is a common symptom of failure. But hey--that is why the "Revert to checkpoint" button is there. The point of this trick: Oh, look at the time. I gotta go.
* Standing over the blue beam
On any beam tower, you can use another player's head to grenade-jump up onto a glass platform where the beacon beam emerges. The first beam is completely harmless--however, try this trick on another beam tower later on--and it will send you hundreds of feet into the sky. Pure ownage. That would make one heck of a power weapon.
* Falling through drop-ships
This is easier to try on the fifth drop-ship you come across ("Uh-oh, another bandit droppin' in behind us, they're tryin' to flank us!'). Simply jump into the side seats where the grunts and elites emerge from. If you're lucky, the drop ship will take off, and you'll go with it, and it'll take you to a magical cloud land with useable fuel rod cannons and TV's that let you watch "A Night at the Roxbury" over and over again!...Nah, just kidding. You actually fall through the drop ship.
* First half speed-run
Well, I consider this a trick more than a glitch. Anyway, here is how to bypass the first beam tower really easily: first, when you exit the lifepod, grab some frags and rush all the way past the first tower and into the warthog tunnel. When you come across the pit, grenade-jump across. And...that's it...you basically saved around fifteen minutes, but lost 75% of your health.
More coming soon.
