Great Pretender's Avatar is a Trow. The Trow are an ancient race of beings two or three times the height of a normal man. All the information you need on them can be found here at the myth.bungie.org site. The Trow are very interesting creatures who have a rich history.
Nosferatu_Soldie's Avatar is of a Syndicate trooper from Oni. This particular character is one of the bigger, heavier hitters on the Syndicate side. The Syndicate is basically organized crime which has influences not only in illegal activities, but also with high ranking government officials and those who control scientific and technological research. It is the evil force led by Muro (Konoko's brother) and the primary enemy Konoko battles.
Reiginko's Avatar is of Alric from Myth. Here is some info about Alric. In Myth: TFL, he is the foremost of the nine Avatara who lead the Light against the Fallen Lords and the forces of the Dark. He ends the Great War by defeating Balor (the leader of the Fallen Lords). After the War, he is named king of the civilized human lands and later is forced to fight Soulblighter and the Myrkridia. At the end of Myth 2, he is the Emperor of all the civilized human lands of Myth.
Shishka's Avatar is a Simulacrum Bob from Marathon. Here is the full picture that the avatar comes from. Simulacrums are suicide bombers created by the Pfhor to closely resemble the Marathon's crew (airlock technicians specifically). In this way, they are able to infiltrate Marathon in order to distroy the security officer. Here is some information about them.
Achronos' Avatar is certainly a picture of himself, no doubt drawn by Lorraine McLees, someone else on the Bungie crew, or even Achronos himself. (Geez, doesn't anyone remember the "what's weekly update" video that Frankie did a few weeks before Halo 2 shipped? In that video Frankie bothered Achronos at his desk, mispronounced Achronos' name, and was quickly corrected by Achronos himself. Anyway, he looks a heck of a lot like his Avatar.)
