and being the technical minded person i am, i noticed that a seraphs shields are constantly up... well duh right? but then i started thinking about it, how does propulsion work while shielding is active, this is also relevant to larger shielded vessels like cruisers carriers etc.

to my knowledge this has never been explained in any fiction or other canon, does anyone have an idea how this might work?

Whens there's no one to turn to, just aim ahead

I would think that there would be little to no shields where the thrusters of the ship are located, because the corvette you attack in Long night of solace has its shields up, but yet you can still destroy its thrusters.

to my knowledge that craft had no shielding, it had a near constant flow of drop pods leaving its lower decks and as far as i know its not possible to segment shielding, only vary the thickness in certain areas but not completely get rid of it. and im not even sure if thats possible with a ship as its only ever been confirmed to work on MJOLNIR armor.

I guess that in order for any covenant vessel to accelerate, they would first have to turn off their energy shields, like they do when they fire their plasma cannons.

We have to take into account that Covenant shield technology is far more sophisticated than Mjolnir shields. They may be able to completely turn off the shielding from certain areas if they want to. We can only keep speculating about this but that seems to be the most reasonable explanation.

Of course, covenant engineering is much more advanced than ours... not really. They copied everything off the forerunners, so maybe they have a method for it...

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

How do they shoot?
