Subject: Standard Deviation Of KDR

War doesn't determine who is right. War determines who is left.

Does anyone happen to know the standard deviation of KDR for Halo or any other online multiplayer games? Perhaps Halo stats API users, or bungie admins? I ask because i would like to know what % of the Halo population my KDR is greater than (ie, greater than 1.00 = above 50% of everyone else's KDR.

I also realise that the mean KDR is not 1.00 (More like 0.97 to 0.99 due to suicides or kills by the guardians)

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. =]

War doesn't determine who is right. War determines who is left.

Also if anyone would like to know... the average increase in total credits on Reach, from one rank to the next is about 118% (From Private to Inheritor), found using

e^(((ln20000000)-(ln7500))/48) = 1.178621472

Ie. If one rank is at 1,000,000 the next would theoretically be at 1,180,000 and the next at 1,392,400 etc.

Random but true!

I changed usernames to match my gamertag. My original account, wambo114, was created when I got xbox live. I'm a 2007 kid really!

what about guest profiles? and betrayals?

Don't even get me started.

It's a waste of time to post a question like this in this forum. The collective IQ of the majority here probably doesn't even total 100, and I'd venture to say that only one out of every twenty people that read this post know what a standard deviation is.

EDIT: If you ask this question on the Halocharts forums, you have a chance of getting a response from the admin of the site. He knows just about everything there is to know about the inner workings of Halo games.

True about the guest profiles, though I think KDR increase is slightly outweighed by KDR decreasing factors. As for betrayals, not sure how they work. Are they counted as a death but not a kill? (In KDR terms not scoring terms)

Thanks... I never thought to look on a stats-specific halo Site. I'll try it out tomorrow and maybe even plot a graph when I find an answer (On both logarithmic scales and normal scales)

Cheers again for rapid responses!
