Here are some things that could be improved about Halo:
- it should be for XBox Live!!! It really stinks that it isn't! In order to play more than 4 people, you have to get more XBoxs and TVs which is a very expensive method and not worth it!
- it should have all the special features that the PC version has, like the cool new maps, the fuel rod gun, banshee, shade, etc. More outside maps too.
- there should be computer players available for multiplayer so you can still have fun if there's no one around to play with. You could also have the computer on your team and whatnot, like on Super Smash Bros. Melee.
- I think the story line is great, but the library does get boring after a while. They could make it look a little different on each level. However, I think that it is trying to show you how big and complicated Halo is and how many Flood there are. Assualt on the control room is the same way.
- another thing is that the Flood just appear out of nowhere, like on the library, when you are going through the last little tunnel under the floor, when you are about to walk out, Flood carriers will appear BEHIND you. Now, if you have good timing, you can walk backwards and immediately when you think they are going to appear or when you see a red spot on your motion tracker, run forward going back into the tunnel and you will see Flood carriers just falling out of the ceiling. There's no holes or anything, the ceiling is solid metal or concrete or whatever it's made of, and the flood just fall through it out of nowhere. And this happens several more times before you can get out of the tunnel. There should at least be like a hatch that they come out of or something.
- the flashlight is very inconvenient. You would think that with all this high-tech stuff master chief has, he would at least have night vision instead of a battery flashlight that has to recharge and can only see like 5 feet in front of you. It is an annoyance in the library.
- you should be able to shoot down the covenant dropships. It should be very difficult (like a bunch of rockets), but it should at least be possible, since they can shoot you.
- I know the marines aren't that great, and it has been mentioned plenty of times. But my response to that is that they aren't the ones who are supposed to do all the shooting. YOU are. The marines are there just for the story and to give you a hand. It is also nice to have some friendly guys on your side. On their own, they're helpless though. The only problem with them is that they aren't that smart. Like when you get in a vehicle, somehow they think the best thing to do is surround you so you can't move without running them over. And then they get mad when you do. Another thing is that they have bad aim and the covenant are way better fighters than they are. And to go with the comment about not being smart, on Level 2 "Halo", the dropship will come to pick them up and only like half of them get on before it leaves. How are they supposed to keep up with your warthog? I mean, I feel sorry just leaving them there, I know they are going to die anyway, but...
- My last comment is that once a marine dies, he should stay dead, not that I want him dead, it just is a little strange when you see him die again on the next level. Like Sergent (sp?) Johnson dies on like every level, but then you see him again on the next one. Is he an identical quadruplet or what?
I cant think of anything else and I'm getting tired of typing.
