I got H3 a while after it came out, and enjoyed the campaign a lot, and forced myself to play some multiplayer, which I thought was decent. I got CoD 4 and I liked that multiplayer a lot more. Then I bought the older halos and ODST and liked them more than h3. (except for h2, I hated that)
Then I came to this forum for the first time when reach was getting hyped up, and enjoeyd speculating with you guys. Then Reach came out, and I had finally played my favorite ever FPS. H3 did not even compare. The campaign may have not had the quantity of set-peice events that CoD has, but those that were there were amazing, and the moment to moment gameplay was more engaging than anything in halo or cod. And the ending felt like a real ending: we know just what happened to the hero, none of this cliffhanger stuff for what is supposedly the last game (*cough* halo 3 *cough*)
