Whenever I try and start it up, it always crashes immediately and then has an error warning saying, "A problem occured initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG."

Okay. Your computer specs might be low, or your graphics drivers not up to date. Heres what I need you to do.

Start>Run: dxdiag

Post your system specs (shown on the first page) right here, then go to Display and post your Graphics card specs.

I can advise you from there.

More information as to the actual graphics card/GPu would be helpful, but I'm assuming that an 'internal' RAMDAC is integrated...?

We need to know what the specifics are. Go to My Computer -> View System Information -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters. That's where you'll find the good stuff.

When I click Display Adaptors, only Radeon 9550 is shown...
