I was wondering recently... How am I supposed to get past the whole copyright issue with suggesting new ideas and designs? All I would want from it is maybe my name as credited to the creation of: So and so's vehicle idea. Along with some bungie goodies. But that's all I would want. What would be your suggestions? O Mighty Bungie.net Moderators?

Only the paranoid will survive!

What do you mean? If you mean you suggest an idea and Bungie uses it I doubt you would get much credit. Mabye a line in a news story, but that's it.

Copyright? If you have copyrighted material then they won't bother to use it, I think. But if you suggest an idea they could use it or make some variation on it but I still doubt you will get much credit.

Bungie does not accept your use any ideas from third-parties.

This is simply to cover their backs. Any company with common-sense would follow this same policy. They don't want to use someone's idea, thinking it to be fine since it was posted on bnet, then get sued because it really wasn't fine.

I guess you guys are right, and this is my killjoy, unfortunately an idea that just "happens" to come along might have someone behind it saying "sue this guy" and then bungie loses a lot of money all because of one concept. THAT STINKS!!!

How is this whole issue supposed to work out?
Honestly, I would just like to get an idea into bungie's impenetrable walls and see this idea blossom and become some big thing that makes the next game really something. Kind of like the Hovercraft that I drew, and I have a link to it in my Sig. but is anyone going to listen to the squealing grunt?

P.S. My Komodo isn't copyrighted

I keep on coming up with these darned concepts, but they keep getting ignored! What am I to do if I want to work temporarily for bungie?

That is a puzzle that will haunt us until the end of time.

If you want to submit stuff to Bungie, you must become Bungie, you need a job there, so get your ass down to Kirkland and get to work maggot!

*sigh*

Bungie won't use anyone's ideas because someone will inevitably file a lawsuit. And even if you had an idea that got into the game, don't think anybody will give you credit. They know what they're doing, so don't tell them how to do their jobs.
