Bungie doesn't see gamers any more. They see walking credit cards.

What would have happened if The Pillar of Autumn never found the first Halo ring?

What if the end of their slipspace jump just ending up sending them in blank deep space?

They'd make it back to Earth, but Regret would've had that 500+ fleet at his disposal.

Truth would have had use for the Elites still, what with no heretic movement and Regret's epic failure to cause him to run to the B Team. The Flood would've stayed on ice - probably.

Basically, everybody dies horribly on Earth, save for the guys stranded on Reach, who die there. The Covies find the ark and everything goes about how you'd expect.

"Were it so easy..." -Thel Vadame.

Basically humanity would have ended a lot faster then had Truth been able to light the Ark by the time Halo 3 ended.

But by the pow'r of Jay-sus Christ, The Pillar of Autumn did not make it into deep space and even though The Flood was unleashed, Master Chief saved humanity from annihilation and we gained an amazing ally name "The Arbiter". :D

We believe that the universe is unbounded: this is not the same as infinite: the 2-D surface of a sphere, wrapped around a 3rd dimension, has a finite size, but has no end. If you start off in a given direction on the surface of a sphere, you could return to your start point without having to turn around -- you simply go all the way around. But wouldn't that mean the universe has an escape velocity like the earth?

Humans are the key to activating forerunner installations.
