This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Bungie is done for now.

343 will take on from now.

Why would microsoft push bungie out of the way to let an inexperienced ill-proven 343 continue the mega money pit that Halo is? Doesn't seem like a very good marketing stratedy to me

You sound as if your 8 years old. Accept it.

However, if it makes you feel better, one of 343's leading guys is Frank O'Conner.

MS didn't push Bungie out of the way, Bungie left on their own terms.

Halo, I'm sure in almost all Halo fans eyes, this franchise I the best FPS franchise especially when being compared to how poor the gameplay in the Call of Duty franchise is. I could go on and on about much better and more fair the multiplayer and what not in Halo is compared to Call of Duty's.

So, if Microsoft stops Bungie from creating the games of the more superior franchise then does that mean I have to move into the poorly made and over crowed house that is the Call of Duty franchise?

In case you didn't notice, the quality of the Halo games decreased with each one made. The quality of the Call of Duty games, however, has increased since CoD 4 and stayed at that level. Halo is hardly 'superior'.

No one if forcing you to play CoD either, unless you're one of those people who only FPSs. You can play Gears or Battlefield or get the PS3 and play Uncharted 2.
I'll have to agree with you on the fact that the newer Call of Duty games have improved and sure maybe the quality of the newer Halo games may have decreased when compared to the first game but it is still more superior when compared to Call of Duty. In my opinion, by multiplayer terms the newer Halo games are miles more fair than Call of Duty's thanks to the many killstreak rewards, quick kills, campers the list goes on which I mainly why I enjoy Halo more than Call of Duty. Sure Halo multiplayer isn't perfect either but it still is a lot fairer.

And your right, I'm not being forced to play Call of Duty but alternatives do I really have? I'm in no position to buy a PS3 (I would kill myself if I did) and my occasional need to play an FPS needs to be met.

I'm not saying Call of Duty is completely terrible, all I'm saying is that the FPS genre just will never be the same with new Halo games being absent.
