Joke thread? Against ToS. Please refrain.

Besides, nine out of ten times, the joke isn't nearly as funny to anyone else as it might be to you.

Hey guis what's goin on in this sig?

Depends, is there so much space that it cant be slippery?

I believe slipspace to be a dimension slightly out of phase with our own, and using it, space ships could travel faster, as this other dimension allows easier movement. How this makes it actually faster, one would have to assume that this 4th dimension would have to be 'slippery' allowing faster movement... Although it would seem more likely that time passes faster and therefore the journey is over in our own dimension a lot sooner.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

On the fourth dimension idea, traveling through the dimension probably works kind of like this:
Imagine that you live in a 2 dimensional universe that exists on a piece of paper rolled into a cone. If you want to travel to something on the other side of the cone you must travel all of the way around. Jumping into the third dimension to go straight across the cone would make the trip much faster. Slipspace probably works similarly to this. It is not slippery.

This is why the bungie universe forum is the best, a four word OP gets this response.

OT there are several FTL theories, but none involve 'slipping', instead 'slip' is probably slang entering/exiting the special space, ex. "covenant ship slipping in".

The term slipspace is almost as old as sci-fi. I dont think that Bungie invented it.

Wikipedia

Edit: "slipspace is a misnomer since; "there is nothing to slip across, and no space to travel through."
