Bring Back Rocket Race!!!

I remember there used to be some kind of glitch in Halo 2 that allowed you to get through any door by clipping through. Similar to how you use vehicles in Halo 3 to get through doors in campaign that don't normally open. Someone even suggested that you could do this on the multiplayer map Tombstone in Halo 2 to get to the secret Halo 1 Pistol.

Anyways, does anyone know how to do that glitch? Cause I don't remember it. The person that suggested it to me said something about using several boxes and grenades to get through the walls/doors, but I don't remember exactly. If anyone remembers, that'd be great.

Yeah, it's easier to clip in H2 than any other Halo. There are a number of ways.

1 Park a Ghost next to a door so that the left side of Ghost is against the door because you will exit in that direction. Then set a Scorpion or a Wraith over the Ghost and try to cram several Hogs in there too. You have to practice a little but eventually when you exit you will clip through. You can use the same Ghost clip if you pile boxes on top but it's trickier and time consuming. Can be done in SP or coop.

Clip with Spectre and Scorpion This clip is harder because I wanted to clip through and swordfly back up the SI shaft, otherwise I could have just set the Spectre up first and drove the tank on top.

2 Another way is to coop BAW clip, in which you build a 12 nade pile 1.5 meters away from the door, then the player stands against the door, tosses the fuse and explodes back through.

Great Journey BAW I BAW clipped all the way through GJ backwards.

Clip and BAW I got the the GJ Control room early using a vehicle clip for one door and a BAW for the other door.

Cool thank! I'm going to try to use this in Halo: Reach. Hopefully it will also work.

What does BAW stand for though by the way?

I'm pretty sure it means "Break Any Wall"

That

Also, in H3 you could clip by sliding a Ghost (left side) into a door and exiting. Race toward a door and turn at the last minute causing a sideways collision but if you are exiting as the collision happens you will go through. Maybe the physics of Reach will allow that to happen so you might fiddle with that.

In H1 the same thing was done but with a Hog. Slide/slam the side of the Hog into a wall or door and exit.

I used to practice trying those right after a checkpoint. Get a CP with a locked door close by and just race, turn, exit, ram.

Of course, with a clip that takes setup try for the CP after setting up.
