"Shall we let the Flood consume our holy city? Turn High Charity into another of their wretched hives? No enemy has ever withstood our might. The Flood, too, shall fail."

-Prophet of Truth.

Honestly, a lot of people say that this book is ok, or just not good.

How? A lot of people also say Contact Harvest is better than this book.

I've read all books, and this one by far beats Contact Harvest.

This book kept me reading throughout, and has so much action and twists (they do get confusing at times). I had to force my self to read Harvest because a lot of the first half was just about casual life, nothing important really.

Also, the Arbiter was in Cole Protocol, and we actually see the mean side of him.

Thoughts?

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I liked it alot. Not the best one of the series, but defenantly a good and entertaining read.

I would put Cole Protocol ahead of Contact Harvest, but not by much. To me, it seemed like much of the story belonged in a different fictional universe than Halo. The whole Jackal-Insurrectionist trade agreement thing did't sit well with me, and the part about Spartan Gray Team was completely uninteresting, but hey that's just my oinion.

Signatures are for squares.

The first time I read Cole Protocol I couldn't bring myself to read the entire thing. I skipped around so much, because I was only interested in Keyes and Gray Team. The rest of the story is just so boring. I didn't have anything much to say on the Arbiters story, and I really hate Jackals.

It was a good read IMO. Not the best, but Keyes was in it.
