Fight hard, break bones >{o

1
i would like html or simply sigs but that can cause problems and isnt really nessasary. i guess i would just like to see more admins read and reply to their pms. namely spaming in groups, groups acting inapropriate (i like PF and MBT and am a member so i dont get pmed but its starting to sound bad), replies to just any random pm, and more activity in local groups or simply better control of the H3 forum and about all new forums as the first day is always bad.

2)
the karma system seems interesting but exploitation seems high. how about you lose points every time your post has to correct you with -blam- and maybe you gain points if your thread gets so many posts or pages, but that would require a lot of activity from the mods (only could work for the public forums, not the groups). that or let people give ratings to each thread (simply a plus or minus sign on whether you like it or not or maybe a 1-10 system)

other then that (and even exluding it) this site is fine. this is the only website i have continuosly visited for 2 years (maybe more)! the stat feature and game tracking is what hooked me and the groups and forums are what kept me from leaving. the gameviewer is worthless as its too hard to make one that showed you anything good (maybe allow you to click on what player you want to track so its not just arrows and avitars everywhere).
also id like to see less attention given to playlist suggestions as i hate some of them and loved some of the "not used" ones (h2h never took more then 1min to get a game while btb takes up to 10 mins to get a game!).

This site is great, just a couple of things:

Advanced Search System
Fixed Editing Bugs (inserts random spaces)
Fully Customizable Groups
I would have to agree, I would also like FREE DONUTS!! :P

Now I think of it, maybe the Karma system is not something I would like.
In the end, wouldn't it cause the same problems as with a post count features?
Okay, not exactly the same, but just from a new angle of exploitation.

I don't know if this has been addressed before but a posting history (not post counter) where you can go to yours our anyone else's profile and hit posting history and it will show pages that has every post made by the user. I would get ride of a lot of post counter threads and would be a cool idea in my opinion.

I'd like to see more group themes. It's nice to have an indervidualy looking group.

No karma system. If you want a karma system.....go to the RvB site.

I think if we could engineer a karma feature that keeps well meaning noobs, makes them feel welcome and such allows them to integrate into the community, and a punishment for bad apples!

No, it was removed for a reason and for that reason it isn't coming back.

Hooray for the Seach feature :D

Personally don't see much else about the forums that can be improved (think the search feature was the last thing missing), so keep up the good work!

I think that up where it shows your online friends, it should also show your online Halo 2 Clan members.

  • 08.27.2006 11:36 AM PDT

I think we should either banish all montages posted in New Mombasa to The Classifieds or even The Flood, or change the Official Theme Song for New Mombasa to the Montage song from Team America World Police. As follows:
Artist: Trey Parker
Song: Montage
The hours approaching, just give it your best
You got to reach your prime.
That’s when you need to put yourself to the test,
And show us a passage of time,
Were going to need a montage (montage)
Oh it takes a montage (montage)

Sure a lot of things happing at once,
With mind, everyone what’s going on (what’s going on?)
And when every shot you show a little improvement
Just Show it or it will take to long
that’s called a montage (montage)
Oh we want montage (montage)

And anything that we want to know, from just a beginner to a pro,
You want a montage (montage)
even rocky had a montage (montage)

(Montage…montage)

Anything that we want to know, from just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage)
Oh it takes a montage (montage)

Always fade out in a montage,
If you fade out, it seem like more time
Has passed in a montage,
Montage

Having a halo backstory page would be excellent, almost like having tidbits from the novels.

Anyway, we could really use a

FAN ART FORUM

many people like to post there work but have to post it in differing places, this would help streamline the art community.

I was going to suggest that forum be made for like intelligent debates. But given the maturity of the average forum user, it would get overun by spammers and people trying to be "funny." It would be cool to add, but it would have to be monitored all the time. Meaning more money and resources towards the forums. Just an idea.

However, I don't know if it would work because usually those forums turn into religious and political wars. But nothing like a good old brainstorm to improve an already great site (even if some members can make it difficult).
