Karma system might be good, like you said. We could rate members by their skill in online gaming and for the forum.

I would like to see one stickied thread in the OptiMatch forum where everyone can post there complaint about team slayer in a civilized manner. Only team slayer though because that would take away bout 75% of new threads about the same thing.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

I would personally like the option to not view people signatures. This option is available in other forums systems, and I really don't see how having something not appear would slow down or otherwise affect the forums in a bad way.

I'm just sick of those bunnyies and 98% of teenagers are idoits who don't understand statisics signatures.

The whole idea for the Karma system is that we self have no influence at all. B.net users rating B.net users =bad.

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

I think the best feature would be a Post Identifying & Tracking System. This would allow B.net to track ppl who break the rules and nuke them! Or send crazed hippos to their house...

Seriously I would love to see more frequent inside Bungie updates and stuff like that.

I agree wholeheartedly with jollyroger's suggestions and more updates would be great. And new polls.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Although it has been said before, I will say it again. Council.

Ooooh - a text markup tag that allows you to use ˢᵐªᴸᴸᵉʳ ᵗᵉˣᵗ.

Would be very helpful when acknowledging sources...

"They couldn't hit an elephant at this dist...."
ᵁⁿᴵºⁿ ᴳᵉⁿᵉʳªᴸ ᴶºᴴⁿ ˢᵉᵈᵍᵉʷᴵℂᵏ

Obviously you can't do this particularly well or easily currently...

Definetely a search feature and smileys thats honestly all you need. That way there won't be as many repeat thread and the forums will be somewhat clean. And with smileys you can show emotion! :P < See a smiley would have been perfect right there......

I'd like to see site change log (bottom left corner under poll) make a triumphant return to the bungie home page. Not that it's a necessary feature, but I would like to know things that were done during a down-time that might occur.

I would love to see a feature where there's a connection between a profile and lets say forum post. lets say I play vs a guy online, I can then go to my stats, click on that player. Then see his profile, and show all forum post by this user or something and threads started by user
or if I want to see if sketchfactor or achronos have made any new post, I just search for their profile, and find posts by user...

I've never seen a Karma system that works. Not one. If they take the route of only allowing a certain number of people to dish out Karma then you get the problem under coverage - and I doubt mods really want to spend their time worrying about handing out Karma. If you let everyone have a say in Karma distribution then you invariably get people exploiting it, so as to make the entire system meaningless.

I guess it just seems to me that a Karma system is a bit of a White Elephant.

The community user level at Xbox.com seems to work well......

i dont think the karma system would be such a good idea. then people just post to get a higher "rank" and the forums end up cluttered with the same comment over and over and over in a thread so that people can get that dire extra post. or is my experience witha karma system waaay off ( or even my idea of what a karma system is) . meh we'll see

*paypal for frapsman wouldnt be a bad idea though :)*

Besides a search bar, I have a really good idea for the stats page.

Instead of showing just someone's emblem, show what they would look like in a game (I would be a cobalt spartan with the emblem that I have now). You could also have an option so that it could be switched from "Emblem Only" mode, to "Avatar Only" mode, and in between that, maybe their emblem in the background and what they would look like playing a game; "Full" mode.

Please let me know specifically what you think of this idea; I think this is the best one that I've had in a while so I'd like to see how it plays out and/or sits with the Bnet team.

Thanks!

As far as features goes, I feel a search the forums feature would help out a ton. Just being able to search for the answer to your question can cut down on question threads (although in practice people just ask their question anyways), but more importantly, other people can search for the answer and tell them "Hey, look here, the answer to your question."

No other features are needed. As far as I'm concerned, a search feature would be enough to bring me back to regular posting. And if that's not a good enough reason to implement it, then what is?

Hopefully the search feature soonᵀᴹ will encompass all of Bungie.net, ie news articles and the games section (so you don't have to trawl through the ten plus pages). It would be nice if we got some more screenshots and artwork posted in the games pages along with an updating of the articles and links there.
