Subject: My Honest Opinion; A Journey Through The Times

Live in the moment before it's too late

Hello, ITT you will find my opinions and some elaboration on the things I state.

Best Halo Campaign In My Opinion:
Halo 2, Halo CE, Halo Reach, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST

Best Halo Multiplayer Experience In My Opinion:
Halo 3, Halo 2, Halo Reach, Halo 3 ODST

I'm not going with the crowd by saying Halo CE had the best campaign, or Halo 2 had the best multiplayer. I'm not afraid to state my opinion on an internet forum, but please, let me explain why I choose one Halo over another.

I've known of the Halo series for about 4-5 years to date, I used to be one of those children who called Master Chief "Halo". I don't quiet remember how I first heard about Halo, but I do remember quickly growing obsessed with it.

I picked up Halo CE and Halo 2 about a year before Halo 3's release. I played their campaign over and over again, picking up knowledge of this new exciting universe. Without a doubt I favored Halo 2's campaign over CE's. The narration, graphics, story, landscapes, something struck me. I will never forget the fond memories of battling on the gondolas, or gazing over the vastness of High Charity with the flood on my trial, all while listening to Marty's music masterpieces.

I only had about 3 months of online experience with Halo 2. The little time that I did play with other people was some of the best fun I've ever had. If I had picked up the game much earlier, it would most likely been my favorite Halo game of all time.

Halo 3 had kept me in a trance for 2 1/2 years. Everyday after school I'd play from when I got home till when I had to go to bed. It's campaign failed to impress me after Halo 2's, I mean common', you have to admit the flood could've been a lot scarier. But the MULTIPLAYER, custom games, forge, theater! All these new features, it was my addiction! I remember not being able to sleep days before Halo 3's debut because I was thinking of all the possibilities.

Maybe age has effected me, for I am 16 now, driving, getting a job, taking in more responsibly. I just don't have the free time anymore, and I expect college is going to be very hard for me. This is when Reach came out, sure, it was fun, but it didn't hold my interest as much. The campaign reminded me a lot of Halo CE's and Halo 2's, which I enjoyed a ton. I love Halo, I will never stop loving Halo.

But now I must let go. Times have changed, and something has changed in me to. I wanted to share these final honest opinions with the community before I said goodbye.

Sure, I'll play Halo from time to time still, but I can feel my childhood rapidly leaving me, I no longer cry to play. I hope one day my children will play Halo and love it like I did, but until then...

I have to say goodbye.

"Question. Which Spartan is best?"
"That's a ridiculous question."
"False. Master Chief."
"Well, that's debatable. There are basically two schools of thought."
"Spartans shoot Sangheili. Spartans. Sangheili.....Battle Star Galactica."

lolwut? That's some sick -blam!- if you cried to play a video game.

But you're right - at 16 you're a big boy now. Responsibilities will only keep on comin'! Enjoy the ride.
