I just finished reading Headhunters. I thought it was an interesting story, but I really didn't like how hard the author tried to make the dialogue seem casual. Words like "yer" instead of "you're" and "ta" instead of "to" were really starting to drive me insane, especially since they were Spartans talking.

That being said, the stealth aspect was pretty badass, and the Spartans themselves were interesting enough. My favorite part was probably the Spec-Ops Elites with the red energy swords. Those dudes seemed rather frightening. :D

So what did you all think about it?

I really liked it I thought it was one of the best short stories in the book. I think either Headhunters or The Impossible Life and the Possible Death of Preston J. Cole is the best.

You seem to have forgotten Human Weakness.

But yes, Headhunters was a great story.

A genuinely tree climbing, curled-up hoodie wearing, ginger-ninja, sci-fi geeking, Halo loving girlie girl!

I loved Headhunters too & I agree that the casual language was a bit annoying, but then again they were Spartan IIIs... I'm of the opinion that Noble Six was a HeadHunter but removed from rotation...

It's what I like to think for mine anyway :)

I liked Human Weakness the best, mostly because it showed just how smart the Gravemind is (infinitly smart) and how intilligent Halo in general is.

as for Headhunters, I thought it was pretty dull actually. I only read it half way through, stopped to read all the other stories and then went back and finished it a few weeks later just so I could finish the book.
