Ok, now b4 you all crucify me for hearing rumors, you should know that the guy I talked to had proof he worked for Bungie. I was in Best Buy waiting in a huge line to play the 360 again. It was a long line so I started talking to the other people around me. All of a sudden the manager walks over and starts watching. He starts talking to us and brags about how he gets to take it home at night. Basically, I told him I wanted a job there and didn't get it. He told me he had only been working there a couple months and was Store Manager. When I asked him how, he told us he used to work for Bungie as some kind of coordinator.
Obviously, we al asked him if he knew anything. He told us he was under oath, but his contract expired, so he could tell us what he knew. Apparently, before he left they were working on a freer environment than the set path we've been used to. You will be able to fly a pelican in the new Halo and travel to the several planets with rings on them. This all leads up to end where to find the control center in Earth. They hadn't finished the final ending when he left, unfortunately.
Also, new weapons like the a disintegrator (much like the BFG in Doom) and a plasma shotgun that shoots plasma that actually sticks to the ground and burns players who walk over it are a few innovations. Apparently, You will actually be able to have a few fights in space with some kind of laser cannon. New, bigger ships will be able to be piloted and used for missions as well as multiplayer.
Supposedly, the Multiplayer will be even better. They were trying to figure out how to have 64 people in a room b4 he left, but could only manage 42 successfully without any lag. New gametypes like escort, drive-by (where you cannot get out of your warthog or you die), and tank wars (apparently with a new type of tank) will be added. New, bigger maps will allow the use of ships and tanks for warfare. Get this: the environment will be very destructible, and apparently they were working on a gametype where you have to destroy the other person’s base.
NOW comes the proof. Of course none of us were without doubt after hearing the story. The guy actually carries around an old badge from Bungie. It looked really legit. It had a barcode, sticker, and didn't look like something you could make with just a printer. Apparently, he's told the story b4, but not many believed him so he carries around the badge now. Plus, he knew all of his information. It wasn't like he would stop and think, maybe making things up. Nope. He knew what he was talking about. Hope this was interesting for you. Seems legit, so let me know what you think.
