I think that it was a great idea, the hot topic icon looks great.

Help, the flamers are setting fire to the forums! See all the burning threads?

  • 11.19.2005 6:13 AM PDT

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

LOL i think its funny that people who dont visit the sepytagon at all think the flames mean the thread is a flame war.

No I said that after visiting Zanzibar. I think the forum is closer to the sun than the actual city.

The idea is hawt.

I might go so far as to say it was a cool idea to implement.

This is usually accurate anyways. It's very rare the threads that reach more than three pages without some type of flamewar.

It shows the difference between active disscussion and "hawt" topics. I like it.

I was wondering if there was somewhere that explains what all the symbols next to the forum topics mean. For example, how did you know that the flaming symbol meant "howt topic"? it's not hot or hawt, it's "howt." jk

Saying "Hawt" is like soooo last year. Anyway, I really don't care about it. It looks cool, and that's all that really matters.
