i connected 2 computers and tried making a lan party for the first time. i saw the game in the server list that was mine on the other computer but when i tried to join it said invalid product key. i dont understand why that rule would apply on a lan party. can someone please help me? i dont want to buy the same game twice and it wasnt my fault that product keys werent allowed for only for like 5 computers in that time when halo pc came out.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

You need a separate product key for each computer connect. That's just the way it is. Lots of games are doing it that way now.

There is a way, but it means you can only get two people in the game.

Search on the internet, preferably Google, for "halo lan game with only one cd key", won't work online by the way, and I haven't, personally tested it.

hey guys,

I am all new to the halo experience. My cuz introduced it to me a couple months back. I am trying to get the multiplayer feature to work but from what I heard it is no longer supported. Anyways, in the article that i was reading, it was saying something about setting up your own servers. How can I do that? Or better, how can i find someone that has already set a server up so i can play?

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

To find a server:
Click multiplayer, then find an internet game.

To host a game:
Create a game from the MP menu. Or start your own dedi.
