I have a group which is considered small by most group standards and I was wondering about activity level.

What parameters are used to consider a group as very active?

Is it the number of new forum threads per day?
Is it the number of posts in every thread? (doubt it)
Is it the total number of threads per life of the group? (doubt it)
Is it the number of posts per member per day?
Is it the number of views of posts per day? (I don't think Bungie measures this)
Is it the number of articles in the news section or how recent the news is?
Is it the amount of content available to the group?

It is NOT the size of the group.

So How do you define an ACTIVE group?

Does Bungie have a total post counter for the combined .net site?
Does Bungie have a total thread counter for the combined .net site?

Are there to many questions in the post? (don't answer that).

Just wondering. Thanks, dave

I would say for every 4 members, you should have 1 active. Thats active I'd say.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

id say when after each day every thread on the front page has been posted in,

And 1 out of every 4 is active

and members post at least once a week

http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/atticus/Group/GroupHome.aspx

1/3 of the front page (excluding stickies) being answered or replied to daily, and 1 new post per 2 days.

That would be Active. To be really active, I would say 3/5 the front page being answered daily and an average of 3 new posts per day.

Uber Active would be 6/7 the front page being replied to and 7 new posts per 2 days.

Insane, Entire front page being answered daily or replied to and some of 2nd, 4-10 new posts a day.

That is My Opinion on activity.. It seems to fit what most call active..
