Why they would cease developing more games in the halo series and let 343 take over.. They left halo 3 with possibly the most talked about cliff hanger in any game series, the possibilities they had to work with for h4 were enormous.. So why, at the height of halo's life span, would Bungie just toss the project to someone else? My main concern is that 343 takes the story in their own little direction instead of taking what was handed to them.. but without making a "happy ending" scenario. I've never seen anything from 343, anyone have any insight on how they'll take it?

Why did bungie give halo series to 343?
Is 343 good at games?

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

They didn't have a choice. Microsoft owns the IP to Halo

It's time to move on. 343 haven't made games before but have a lot of ex-Bungie employees with them. Everyone has to move on sooner or later. I'm sure a lot of people weren't happy when they stopped doing the Marathon series.

There wasn't many possible game choices at all unless you want the game to be a non-violent exploration of the forerunner or precursor world. What I see there is a movie, not a game.

Mreh.

when a story stops being worth telling, the good story teller gives the rest of the story to the amateur.

My jokes, so I don't lose them (ignore this):
ZedFish's Opinion on Sgt. Foley.
ZedFish's Forerunner Rickroll.

They aren't allowed to keep making Halo.
Microsoft bought Halo, then took it from Bungie and gave it to it's Bungie-'splinter group' (343) to develop in future.

Bungie is a passionate company, and didn't want to let microsoft use _them_ to milk the halo franchise anymore, even though it's gonna be milked anyway.
