Just a question I thought would be fun to discuss.

Would have made more sense if Thel 'Vadum was with Rtas as it would have made it an even fight since he doesn't have his fleet but whatever. I stuck with Jacob and the PoA, such a small Helcyon ship with the power to destroy a Covenant Super Cruiser.

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

Keyes family FTW

"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Rtas 'Vadum. The Shadow of Intent has better technology than what the other Commanders have. Now however, things always usually fall down to who is in command. An example would be a UNSC destroyer taking down a Covenant destroyer and 2 Frigates, possibly because Keyes was at the helm. Well now we have a powerful ship in the hands of an equally competent commander. (Who was able to take on a fleet of similar ships to his own which was 3 times the size of his own, and win.)

Or maybe I am sooo bias for Rtas. :/

Rtas has the advantage from the start basically. He is just as good intuitively but has the better ship. If they all had the same type of vessel then I guess we would see who is the best, most intuitive (or Lucky!) commander.

Rtas Vadum. Superior armament, strategies and overall strength; he considers a 3 to 1 battle against brutes an even fight, and that says something.

Cole is arguably the greatest war hero for all of humanity. He was a brilliant tactician and never lost a naval engagement his whole career.

I figure it's a fair fight since covenant technology is so advanced.

We fight for honor. We fight for glory. We fight for our brothers and our homeland. But most importantly......we SMASH. We are the ELITES THAT SMASH. Anyone can join, we have games, warfare, tournaments and more. We're always looking for new members, so stop on by.

Rtas.

Because he's sexy.

An Assault Carrier is very powerful. We need to think this from the terms of the Supercruiser battle in FoR, recent releases or not.

It took the PoA 3 MAC rounds and hundreds of Archers to down the shields of the supercruiser. The Assault Carrier's shields are presumably stronger.

The SoF looks useless, unless we assume those MAC rounds were Graftoned for gameplay reasons, in which case it's more powerful than the PoA on that front.

Because of the simple fact that UNSC ships can only shoot forward, their anti-Rtas tactics are limited to a brute charge. The local smart AI shall initiate evasive maneuvers like those Keyes loved to use, and sync the weapons for a single salvo that destroys the shields so that a nuke can be planted on the midsection of the Shadow of Intent.

Team Keyes can fire 4 MAC rounds and 9000 archer missiles, 6 shivas and the finisher longsword (with decoy squadrons) in one salvo. Team Cole non-nerf can fire 6 MAC rounds, thousands of archers and presumably three or more shivas. In the end, the power looks roughly equal.

The questions are, is that enough for an Assault Carrier? How skilled exactly is Rtas, being a spec-ops commander; would he be able to sense the plan and counter it? If this is a three-way fight, how do the dynamics of that work?

can only be Admiral Cole, he never lost a fight in space. and Everest is a monster of a ship, for crying out loud it carried 100+ SHIVA missiles in the Cole short story, plus we can assume since it was likely a modified Marathon it had more than one MAC and an absolute bucket load of Archer missiles, not to mention Cutter is no slouch either and the Spirit of Fire is quite powerful, it is afterall a planetary assault ship intended to assault hostile planets, it definately has at least one MAC, numerous heavy guns, bucket loads of point defence turrets, probably very thick armour and would imagine like all other UNSC warships a compliment of Archer missiles and perhaps SHIVA nuclear missiles. think Cole has fought too many engagements with the Covenant to loose vs. a single Assault Carrier and im sure Everest is more than capable of destroying one.
