I've tried submitting a news item and a fanclub charter at the 7th Column site but it seems like the person in charge for reviewing that kind of stuff has been awfully tired recently. I don't think Bungie gets that many requests every day; but I don't know. It would be helpful to see at least something being "Denied" rather than just sit around.

I submitted a chapter too but nothing happened. I don't know if it was denied or what because It doesn't have any new info under my submissions. It does say I have a chapter in my name but nothing else happened. What exactly is supposed to happen?

Well you're farther ahead then I am because I can't even get them to recognize my name or whatever. How long did you wait until you at least got your name recognized?

It was that same night.. right after I submitted it.
`I apologize for posting to this thread right away... I know there is bound to be a more in depth thread..*looks at the few that he has already found*
And sorry about the late response.

So, what should I do? Just resubmit it again in a week or something?

  • 05.07.2004 1:31 PM PDT

bah

No. There is no need to ever resubmit anything. It will be taken care of in time.

If your looking for an active clan who doesn't talk "trash", allow cheating at all, and has a good community then check out our site.

Clan O7AH

I think that it is takin a while because of the giant influx of new members recently. They are probably trying to catch of bc of the massive responce to the new bungie site. When I first submited my site it took like three days before they replied. [Whis is CMSU's OTAH and the link is at the bottom. (i couldn't resist)] I would just give it time and then if nothing happens just e-mail them and ask whats goin on. I hope this helped.

Bungie is busy with E3 preparation right now. You'll probably have to wait until the week after next before you'll hear news on whether your chapter was approved or rejected.

In the mean time you should search around the column and find some cool chapters to join. There are a lot of top quality chapters out there.

I think they're also a bit reluctant to approve anything at the moment - they've still got to convert The 7th Column to the new b.net.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I have had 3 chapters over the years (1 was disbanded. What I ever saw in it... I do not know. That one I disbanded was pointless. I never had more than 2 chapters at one time)

DONT resubmit. Just don't.

My first chapter took about 2 or 3 days to get approved. My 2nd one (which I disbanded) took 2 days. My newest chapter took 2 weeks to be accepted. Bungie Employees are very busy. You just have to be patient. Don't worry, your chapter will be approved before Halo 2 is out. ;)

That's right! And don't any of you forget it! I'm an elder person as far as people go, and many seek my divine wisdom. I share it freely, and as a result, have a cult-like following! This is in real life, of course, where none of you can prove me wrong.

This isn't a call for them to look at my chapter.. by all means, please continue to work on Halo 2. I'll do anything to keep you guys on task.. I'll even send my liver.. hell I got two. I was just curious. But anyway, after the chapter is approved what happens from there? I made the chapter because so many people at my school wanted it, and Im the only person with spare time. So what should I expect when or if they approve the chapter?

You have to put in a lot of effort to get a chapter to be big. And if you want it to be huge, then you may need more than just the people in your area. Although I applaud you if you choose to make your chapter area specific. Most of the chapters made now aren't intended to be.

Thanks, that helped explain a few things for me. I'll try to make my chapter geared toward not just Halo news, but educated speculation and other hot topic issues, like bots in multiplayer, vehicles handling, ect. It's all well and good to discuss those topics here on the forums, but sometimes good ideas just fall by the wayside. I plan to keep all those topics alive. So when it's up and running, I invite you all to send in your stories and grounded speculation so it can be given a proper discussion. My chapter (if and when it does get approved), will be called 'Event Horizon". Hope to see you there.

My problem is that there are 2 chapters in my area - one is filled with 12 year olds ( I'm not lying about it either) and the other is apparently defunct - the last news item something about - I got sick of the game - I'll see you X-Mas '03 when Halo2 comes out - I am trying to open a chapter for my area - but I am dreading the wait... By the way if anyone is in St. Petersburg, FL AIM me at 'gamejunkyjim' to be considered for the chapter if and when the charter is approved. I initially will have the membership open to St. Petersburg, Gulfport, Pinella Park, Kenneth City and Pasadena, but if demand is high I will expand to all of Pinellas County. I believe in game ratings, so M-17 means I wish for you to be at least 17 years old. I may allow you as probationary at 16 years old.
