The Halo Array would kill the organic part of the Reapers, rending them useless. Muahaha.
QFT, even the Covenant would completely dominate the mass effect forces. In fact, even the UNSC would destroy anything the ME could throw at them. unsc has thousands of ships, there are only 80 mass effect ships. and they only have 38 kilotons per shot, while unsc ships have at least megatons per mac shot. every unsc vessel also has thousands of archer missiles, each one capable of completely destroying any me ship. also nova=citadel bye bye

me cant even travel faster than light without the mass effects, so if they can use the mass effects, unsc could use the halos and hide in the shield world = WIN

sorry me fanboys, but your game sucks, and halo wins :-D

Wake me when the jews are gone.

and ME don't have one good strategist

right lets just get this straight, just so we know for the record, magnetic accelerator cannons are not megaton weapons! i will show below exactly why they aren't, please see below:

one kiloton of TNT = 4,184,000,000,000 joules of energy

that is very very important piece of information, more below:

mass of MAC round = 600,000 kilograms (600 metric tons)
velocity of round = 35,000 metres/second (muzzle velocity)
total kinetic energy of round = 367,500,000,000,000 joules.

these are inescapable facts of physics, that is the kinetic energy of a frigate MAC round, no tricks, just numbers, below:

energy of round / one kiloton of TNT
367,500,000,000,000 / 4,184,000,000,000 = 87.835 kilotons

now for a MAC to have a megaton of kinetic energy, it would need to either a) be travelling at around 100,000 metres/second or b) the round be considerably more massive.

to get a point across, 87.835 kilotons is still a lot of energy, bearing in mind thats entirely kinetic energy, would still put a fair sized hole in the ground, or shatter a mountain (maybe?), to be honest the 'realistic' numbers make the halo universe so much more humble and less rediculous than some (cough, star wars, cough). the muzzle velocity and round mass are from halopedia (though i think they are mentioned in one of the novels.)

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

If -blam!- Effect gets huge ass ships, then Halo gets the Flood. And your arguement is invalid, due to Nova bombs, Super Mass Accelerator Cannons, and the size of the Covenant Fleet, including High Charity. High Charity has enough firepower to decimate half of ME's anything. So SCREW ALL THE OTHER GAMES! HALO IS INVINCIBLE!

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

You may think that Halo has the ability to destroy Reapers, but you'd be mistaken. Reapers are composed of half organic and half inorganic materials. Therefore, it's neither alive nor dead. Halo wipes out all life in the galaxy. Therefore, Halo wouldn't work against the Reapers, rendering it only effective on the living creatures in Mass Effect.
*Incorrect buzzer* Halo destroys all sentient life. Reapers are definitely sentient. Quad Erat Demonstrandum, Halo wins. Also, the size of the combined Covenant and UNSC fleet could overwhelm the Reapers: The Reapers are killable (See Mass Effect 1, and Mass Effect 2), and therefore, hundreds, maybe thousands of glassing beams/MAC rounds would tear the Reapers apart. Good day to you sir.

If you actually think in a full-blown universe battle ME would stand a chance then you are a delusional fanboy. Just look at those ME fanboys making stuff up to save their pathetic universe...
Also factpile seems to have something against Halo, they tend to put it against impossible odds, but we live in a time where hating on Halo makes you a cool 12 year old, so that's not suprising...

One-two Plasma torpedoes, single Energy Projector, Single SMAC, that's already enough to destroy a Reaper. Hell, a Spartan Laser will pass through a Reaper's shields.
Nukes also ignore kinetic barriers, a weapon that is banned and totally forgotten in ME...

how the hell is this thread back?

this died a while ago; it needs to sty that way. When the Op admits he may be wrong, that's the signal to the rest of us to just pack up and leave.

although...off the record: "now for a MAC to have a megaton of kinetic energy, it would need to either a) be travelling at around 100,000 metres/second or b) the round be considerably more massive.

thats a Frrigate sized MAC; 343 said themselves they come in many different shapes and sizes pending on the ship classification (Marathon>Frigate. Supercarrier>Marathon etc.)
