Okay, I have no problem using my homemade USB mod to use my Xbox controller on PC. And I also have no problem playing Halo PC with it. However, there is a slight problem I'm running into when playing the Multiplayer and in general. I'll try and explain and hope somebody can help me out with this.

First and foremost, Movement on the left joystick is NOT pressure sensitive in multiplayer on Halo PC for some reason. If I slightly move the controller in an attempt to creep forward or strafe left, it moves as fast as it can. There is no gradual increase in movement. It's stopped or all the way. I found this strange because when I play the campaign on PC it doesn't do this. I can move left/right and forward and backwards as slowly and quickly as I want. Can this be fixed and has anyone else noticed this really annoying problem. It's difficult to explain, but I hope somebody knows what I'm trying to say.

Second, is there anyway to assign the buttons exactly like the xbox version? I'm having trouble making X reload AND swap weapons and was wondering if there was any way around this. My main concern is the movement in multi-player, though. If anybody else is using a controller on PC, see if you notice this as well. It makes movement difficult since you're either running and strafing at full speed, or not moving. Sometimes I just want to creep. Anyway, thanks for the help in advance.

Yes, I said swap weapons, as in one lying on the ground. Not actually switching to your secondary weapon. So in that case, it would be holding X.

And way to go ordering an adapter for $1 on ebay. Have fun paying the shipping on that item while I probably spent about 13¢ making mine.

But yeah, apparently nobody can answer this question.

Halo PC doesn't have a creep function. Basically, you're not using a controller with HaloPC. You're using a controller-shaped keyboard. The analog stick actually represents the WASD keys. In short, because a keyboard doesn't allow for creeping, neither does the controller. HPC doesn't support creeping or walking.

As for the button thing, play with your settings.

That's incorrect to a certain extent.

As I mentioned, on campaign using an XBOX CONTROLLER you can creep with the left joystick as you would normally on Xbox. I understand your theory and that's what I assumed before I checked that it worked perfectly in campaign. So what's the deal since it works in one but not the other? I guess nobody has even noticed this... but it is a big difference.

Hm...Then if that's the case, I think perhaps Bungie purposely deactivated creeping for multiplayer. Otherwise, those with controllers would be given the in-game advantage of creeping around for suprise attacks, while the majority of players with keyboards would be put at a disadvantage. Player balance, I assume.

OK ive got at least one answer for you. To make X swap weapons and reload you leave the reload and swap weapon buttons blank and make X the "action" button. This will let u reload, swap weapons, and enter vehicles, just like on xbox version. As for the creeping thing, i have no idea.
