Why can't different ranks in a group have colored text?

Because colored text caused a lot of problems awhile ago, so Achronos took it away.

Text colors used to be a feature on bnet. It was abused, and therefore removed.

And I'm curious as to what this has to do with a Pinata.

How does the subject relate to the post?

I don't think coloured text would work out good. It could be abused.

I don't mean like typing [tehyellow] in front of text to color it. But that in a group some roles could have permanent different-than-blue text like the mods on the regular forums.
And if it's abused in a group, well who cares?

Edit: Ok I changed the topic, happy?

Yeah.

And from what I understand, it is hard to differentiate between the regular forums and chapters. So, let's say admins of groups got green text. There would be a ton of bugs where these admins also got green text in the regular forums.

Not if they used the seperate theme-specific stylesheets, which control the different colour schemes of the site.

That said, I don't really see why we need it. A Group admin posting in a thread is likely to be a common thing, it's hardly like a post from Sketch, now is it?

You also need to take into accound different themes. Say your admin has white text. If he uses the Column WW theme, no one can read his posts.

Not a big problem, the admin could simply be able to change it as he like.

If liek psyched said and they did it based off the themes, that could work. But it would work better if given the option to toggle it on or off. So the important posts in a thread would be colored, but just normal ones arent.

That would be better....
