Message me if you want, I will try to get back as soon as possible.

See you on the forums and in the games.

It happens every time a game comes out. The reason? People have different opinions. Also this thread does not belong in this forum. It belongs in the Community or Reach forum.

"Peace, gentlemen...
Peace is the ultimate goal of the Traxus Project.
Peace not in our time but in the future.
Future generations will benefit from the work begun here today.
Gentlemen, I give you the Traxus Project"

Just a shot in the dark, from my sole standpoint; It seems to counter events established previously in the fiction. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there were supposed to be Spartan III's active on Reach at that time. I am well aware that those who own the fiction can reserve the right to do whatever they wish with it...It just seems somewhat irresponsible for someone to retcon that heavily. Of all the Spartan II's supposedly in the fight at that point, the only one noted in-game is working with Spartan III's who shouldn't even be there. And yes, I'm aware that the novels that established their actions and presence there are in the process of being re-written...a fact that is all the more irritating to me personally....Again...just my opinion. If Reach were not so directly connected as canon with the rest of the Halo universe, I would not take any issue with any of it myself.

The canon is screwed over.

My jokes, so I don't lose them (ignore this):
ZedFish's Opinion on Sgt. Foley.
ZedFish's Forerunner Rickroll.

I've spent alot of time there.
Basically, people believe that if they are beaten by something, it must be broken. I have seen very little about 'broken canon' in months now, ever since people started reading Halsey's Journal which kind of fixes things up.

The problem is, it's laden with people who get off Reach after being royally flogged, hot-headedly make an account and create a thread about how "The game is FUBAR", "Bloom narrows the skill gap", "I'm not playing again", "I have a 50 in Halo 3 and my opinion matters most because I am obviously great" (this one is usually backed up by a 36-43 highest skill, generally), etc.

Very little of the people in the Reach Forum are not complainers. And even then, they're leaving, like me.

The Universe forum is hesitant about Reach because of the canon issues.

The REACH forum hates Reach for a very simple reason. The sample population. The nerds that whine and moan about Reach are the nerds on the forums whining and moaning about Reach. They see other people whining, assume EVERYONE hates Reach, and then post more threads about how Reach is dying and everyone hates it.

Those people are wrong and/or misinformed.

The people who do not care or like Reach are too busy actually playing it to bother coming on the forums. They've got better things to do (Reach).

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.
tenn' Ambar-metta!

Agree, a lot of people just got pissed off (including me) for many inconsistencies with the story, it does not follow plenty of stuff from the Halo universe, and it's really annoying this coming from Bungie.

I'm not saying the campaign, the story or the game sucks, not at all, the game itself is amazing, the problem is the canon which we all loved and Bungie just didn't care anymore, which offended a lot of hard core Halo fans.

reach sucks

Its not reach or you, its the reach forum itself

After 1 month that reach came out a lot of people were complaining so some people who thought reach was good left the forums, but most of us stayed. The ones who left were lucky because those who stayed soon changed. The reach forums got in your head and you either became a constant complainer or a blind follower. The complainers, they get inside your head. If you were a blind follower and you saw a reach complaint thread, you would automatically go and defend reach, you did this to all threads so each complaint thread would become a hot topic and would attract more blind followers. It was an endless cycle of complaints with no way to stop it

shortened version: you get sucked into the reach forums with no escape and get into an endless cycle of complaints.

As someone who has been fairly vocal about the canon issues(probably too vocal), I'd like to mention that I certainly don't hate Reach. I find it disappointing in some areas, but it's a pretty decent game.
