Subject: Simple ways to fix canon in Reach

Due to all of the complaining about Reach breaking canon I have decided to make possible easy fixes to it that will fit with other canon.

1. Noble Team: Noble team was already canon as seen in Ghosts of Onyx when Colonel Akerson asks for Tom and Lucy for his own uses, aka Noble team.

2. The dates: The dates as shown in Reach are obviously different than in the books, however the first half of Reach was a secret advanced fleet and is therefor not contradicting. The main fleet as described in the books came at the end of the mission The Long Night of Solace. However even that date is too early, so I propose to change the battle from the one day of August 30th to two days, August 29th and 30th. From there change the mission dates as follows.
Long Night of Solace: August 29th morning
Exodus: August 29th day
New Alexandria: August 29th Night
The Package: August 30th morning
The Pillar of Autumn: August 30th day
I believe these dates will be a realistic fix to canon.

3. The Pillar of Autumn on Reach: This can be fixed simply by changing the spartans taking a pelican down from orbit to The Pillar of Autumn landing and then having a pelican take them to the generators.

Several other minor things were fixed in Halsey's journal, and if there are any more problems you see feel free to mention them, just no flaming please.

Still I'd rather have the events happen the way they were supposed to.

I mean how hard is it to Have random distant horizon ships blowing each other up in LNoS?

and the whole PoA groundside thing pisses me off to no end.
we could have at least gone back up into orbit to send her off.
it's like they weren't even thinking!

It would be nice if this wasn't necessary, but the game is already out and these retcons would be much simpler than remaking an entire level.

The very idea of massive warships and armies being kept secret for a month is ridiculous and contradicts everything.

What a waste....

Going back into space and meeting the PoA would fix it.

CoD is a good game, even if the Halo series are better in some aspects. Anyone who insults either is just bad in that game. Grow up.

Question: Where are the Spartan IIs during the entire month of the covenant presence? In the book, it is described that in the few hours they were participating in the Battle of Reach, 1 squad of 3 Spartan IIs blew up a covenant ship and turned it into a massive grenade that took out thousands of covenant ground troops. If the Covenant were on Reach for so long, how did something similar to this not happen?

A single cloaked warship and 2 corvettes, and it was all under control until the fleet showed up.

The spartan IIs did not come until the main battle on August 30th, or on my edited version, August 29th.
