"Remember those that have fallen. May they never be forgotten."

Okay, so I've done some brushing up on my facts in the Halo universe. I read in "Halo: Ghosts of Onyx" that Fred, Linda, and Will(?) had taken down the Centennial Orbital Elevator in Havana, Cuba.

I was playing ODST the other day, I believe the level is when you first play as Dutch (Uplift Reserve). A little ways into the level, you cross a bridge and watch an orbital elevator collapse directly in front of you (New Mombasa, East Africa).

What I do know, is that New Mombasa's orbital elevator fell on October 20th, 2552. Centennial Orbital Elevator fell on November 3rd, 2552.

At first, before I had looked up the actual location of the Uplift Reserve, I had thought that they had ended up in Cuba (silly assumption, right?) and were witnessing the destruction of Linda, Fred, and Will's warheads.

At first, I thought it might have been a vague reference to another possible game by Bungie/343 Industries, but scrapped the thought once I had seen that they were two very different elevators.

But hey, anything's possible. Seven Columns, six games (five, if you don't count Halo: Wars).

New Mombasa's orbital elevator fell because of the slipspace rupture of the covenant cruiser. Its structure was weakened.

That oribital elevator has been around since Halo 2, Ghosts of Onyx probably got inspiration from it instead of the other way around.
