Here is my situation that will help better explain my question. I am back at college now, for RA training, and I have found that I am teaching the other guys in my hall about the skill, technique, and strategy involved in Halo. They wanted to play campaigns, so I play multiplayer with them on Normal, then build up trying to help them apply their skills. All of this is really an attempt to better our hall's chances of winning the campus wide Halo tournament I am creating.

My question, and request is thus: Have any of you done this before (helping the friends) and if so, would you throw any tidbits of information that might be helpful? Anything I can do better, worse, other?

Here's a great method:
Chain them to a radiator, every night for dinner give them 10 equally cut pieces of steak. Then, before they eat, have them battle each other in multiplayer. For every kill they get, they get one more piece of steak, but every time they get killed, they lose a piece of steak. It gives them great incentive for getting better!

That's one way doing it... but it may interfer with studies

I seldom help my halo skill lacking friends to get better in campaign, simply because they kill me all the time. And in multiplayer, they get pissed off if I play bad, and they get pissed off when I beat them with twice their score. Training friends is a hard thing to do.
