Subject: Sgt. Johnson isn't dead?

Seriously Oak, Ive been doing this -blam!- for 16 years, gimmie my Friggen starter Pokemon and dont call me till im the champion! ¬_¬

When halo CE was made, johnson was designed much as pete stacker is now. He was meant to be a random name and face that leads troops into battle, no matter what his fate.

The point of this was that if he gets shot down by elites or you "Accidently" force the warthog with him in off a cliff, he'll still be back the next level and no one would care enough about him to notice

Course that screwed up, when bungie realised people actually like Johnson, and then they had to quickly try and find some logical reasoning to bring him back as a central character
to the story

Its funny really, if he hadnt been in halo 2, no one would even care enough to remember his name :P

But the point is, he's gone, and unless 343 are planning a prequal, he's not gonna come back

This is my stupid theory, but what the hell.

Bungie already said that they are interested in removing Sgt. Johnson's immunity to the Flood (or already did, I don't know). What if a flood spore infected his corpse, got in a Phantom (probably infected), and followed the Chief or something like that?

And in Halo 4 there is a cure for the Flood.

Haha, very stupid theory of mine, but I think it's unfair for one of my favorite characters to die in such a... pathetic way, to say it this way.

  • 12.19.2010 2:27 PM PDT

Yes, I'm a furry. And yes, I like men. So what?

Uhm, no. We all watched him die in that cutscene.

And, even if he wasn't dead, the Halo exploded, and Forward Unto Dawn was the only means to escape the installation.

I'm pretty sure his body was obliterated.

Hey, B.net

i'm a nice guy, doesn't troll and loves Bungie. I enjoy playing video games, usualy shooters and a bit of horror , Dead Space, Halo, Gears of War, Halo, Battlefeild, did i mention Halo ? Lol. Anyways, "invest in realestate, always eat breakfast, all the chicks on the internet are ACTUALLY DUDES, and never buy the extended warrenty on anything, EVER !"

Halo 4 is highly likely given the nature of Micro$oft, but it'll be from 343, I'd bet my music on it.

I don't think there will be a Halo 4 period. What I see with Master Chiefs ending in 3 is a movie with little fight scenes, not a game. However I do see 343 doing more stuff about blue team, maybe red team, Harvast, maybe more Reach, and maybe even post Halo games where it is marines and elites vs the Covenant.
ACTualy im pretty shure 343 said after re-makeing halo they r going for halo 4 and a movie by 2015

ps boishock movie set for 2011-2013 :0

Commander of Delta Squad in The Gloom Walkers.

Dead for you. I got him all the way to the ship. So in my game he is still alive.

-343 Guilty Spark: He has Boren's Syndrome. Flood can't infect him.

Wrong. "Boren's Syndrome" was a condition ONI made up to hide the identities of the ORION Project's candidates. His immunity to the Flood is because of his augmentations.

The only safe way to do a Halo 4 would be Master Chief on the mysterious planet he was last seen orbiting and all it would be is maybe seeing a little bit of contact with flood here in there but most of it would have starved to death due to the lack of sentient life to feast on and would be less than acceptable fighting for a game. It would mostly just be walking around discovering secrets with Cortana and maybe finding where the forerunners or precursors went.

  • 12.19.2010 6:10 PM PDT

In CE he was somehow resistant to the flood due to Borons (SP?) syndrome (caused by high exposure to radiation)(from The Flood and First Strike). However, in H3, he is definatly dead.

Wait Wait Wait Slow down there speed racer think of this. A average huming being first off falling of the platform that is 100 stories high and high the ground splat. Seconde: If that did not kill him the blast of a 100000 mile long death ring exploding. Third: the lack of air because the ring exploding. Fourth: Being lost in space= He is dead

He was inside the radius of the Halo ring when it ignited. That's one very dead Johnson.

No, that was a cover story by ONI to hide the fact Johnson was a Spartan-1. His immunity to the Flood is due to his augmentations. Check Halopedia if you don't believe me.

I actually wrote that, much to my chagrin. It was a few years ago and quite silly but the entire fan fiction was an over-the-top, ridiculously dramatic epic.

It wasn't perfect, but I'm very proud to say that I finished the 337 page behemoth after 1 and 1/2 years.

That is an awesome idea. Johnson as a bad guy... would be supremely awesome. Not so sure about the cure, though. Killing and 'releasing' him would be a more dramatic ending.

"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Even if he survived Spark's laser to the chest and survived a plummet into that abyss beneath 04's control room, his central nervous system would have been frazzled when Halo went off.

He is dead. Have a drink. Get over it.

UWG Great group, you should check it out.

*Facepalm* In the level 343 Guilty Spark Johnson is supposedly dead, but if you read the books you would know that survived because a disease that he got by throwing a lot of plasma grenades made him "unappetizing" to the Flood. When he was shot by 343 Guilty spark you saw him die, and that disease probably doesn't protect him from giant laser beams.

Sorry for the pyramid.

I'm pretty sure the ORION project took place way before we knew about the Covenant, let alone the Flood.

In fact, didn't Johnson make first contact with the Covies in orbit around Harvest? Wasn't that post-ORION?

The ORION Project was indeed a while before humanity made first contact with the Covenant, it was initiated from from 2491 to 2506.

I thought so.

Anyway, they could bring him back if they wanted to. For instance, if a new novel is written that follows the events after Halo 3.

It's a bummer if he's dead for good, but that's life, right?

  • 12.21.2010 3:53 PM PDT

You just lost the game. Now facepalm yourself for clicking this :P

Halo 4 is a Myth, it's completely fake and I can't believe you guys still believe in it. Bungie themselves said that Reach was going to be the very last Halo series.
