Pioneer and Enthusiast for Halo 3.

This depends.
Are you talking about when you click on a server, and it gives you full details below?
No.

Are you talking about when you join in a game, you get a program an automated message for those who just joined?
Yes. Not sure how.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Neither of those are what he's talking about at all, Retro. He's referring to periodical server messages like in TF2, CS:S, BF2, ect. These messages usually involve server rules, instructions for donations and benefits for doing so, or where to apply to join a clan. That kind of thing.

And no, HPC doesn't have this.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

The iMega server tool program either has this ability or will.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Halo Custom Edition will let you run tools that do. There's already a tool for Halo PC/CE that allows Mapvote and SV_say on halo PC (gandanur), and there are also SAPP/XAP variants for Custom Ed that DO allow sv_say messages at random times.

On custom ed, you can also set a MOTD that appears if you hit F2 in game.

Also, iMega became gandanur, and it's just a Strings.dll hook so you can run it at gameservers.

Is that just for CE? Or will it work for Halo PC?

iMega is now gandanur, and it has a PC and CE version.

I don't think it can do random MOTDs though, like XAP/SAPP for CE can.

I played on a server using Gandanur and it was pretty cool tbh. Map vote is cool.

I run 2 servers with gandanur. It's pretty cool, as it logs all the admins and map vote options in a file. It can also do RCON via an external app in case the server is full and you don't have physical access to the server.
