Subject: What's your favourite cutscene from any Halo game?

So that's how it is. You all ought to know better than that.

You know this one was good. Its priceless.

Multi-trillionaire modern cowboy.

That's right.

The one of S117 finding Cortana in Halo 3... Epic.
Or the one of 117 leaving High Charity.
Donno why.. but they inspire my ya'know?

EDIT: Ooh, and the one of Halo Wars when the Spirit comes out of the forerunner cave and gets into battle with a Covenant Cruiser!

Soon to be breaking news:

US Coast Guard prepares for massive rescue mission after Iranian fleet sinks off shore. Reports say a small thunderstorm caused most of the ships to simply...fall apart.

I can't pick just one.

CE: Helmet Cam

H2: Gravemind opening

H3: Floodgate ending

Wars: The SoF colliding with the Destroyer

ODST: NMPD HQ ending

Reach: LNoS ending

Want to play Bungie games old and new? For Carnage Apply Within

"Don't mistake your rank and number for superiority.
The oldest child may learn from the youngest."

The Two Betrayals Intro is my favorite in the entire series followed by The Maw intro.

Two Betrayals is great because so many things take place in that scene. You find out the true purpose of the Halo rings, Guilty Spark infers you are or are at least descended from the Forerunners, and Cortana shows signs of rampancy just to name a few. It's all done with a subtlety that the later Halo games lack too. Guilty Spark doesn't just come out and tell you "You are Forerunner," but rather hints at it in his reaction to your refusal to set off the ring. The signs of Cortana's possible rampancy are even more sublte. During her little tirade, she keeps changing colors between Blue, Red, and Green. All colors that represent the three stages of rampancy...Melancholia (depression) = Blue, Anger = Red, and Jealousy = Green.

I love the opening to the Maw because a crashed ship with the Marathon logo on it reminds me of several ships in the Marathon series.

Finally, the two cutscenes that bug me the most are Return to Sender (end of level 1 of Halo 2) and the Halo 3 Intro.

"Return to Sender" because they took one of the best, most badass trailers of all time and turned it into a flying, purple space potato.

My reasoning for disliking the Halo 3 intro may sound kinda picky, but it is what it is. They should have ended Cortana's monologue before she said the word "luck." It's one of those things that sounds much cooler on paper. I realize they wanted everyone who didn't read the books to be in on it, but I think it would have been much cooler to just leave it a question.

I am a monument to all your sins

the cutscene towards the end of Reach's first level when you get attacked by the zealots really gets my adrenaline pumping.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Probably Georges Death, just because it reminds me of Sam-034's death. (One of the best deaths in all of the Halo Canon)

You know it does nothing. It did nothing in Halo 3-1, you just did not notice it. Go on Halo 3 and rapid fire at a wall and the bullets get more random. Don't try to deny it. I've shot real guns, I should know.

H2- Arbiter mission and Gravemind.

I find this question impossible to answer. There are all just too many epic ones. Except "To war" of course.

Mm.

My personal favorite is when the Arbiter and Master Cheif meet the Gravemind. However, a close second would be Carter's death.
