This is not a memorabilia to reiginko. this is not a goodbye speech. these are just a few thoughts i had while thinking about life.
Life. that's really what its all about. We're all here...for life. to live, to do something. Some people strive for doing, and others don't. Some believe in religion, others believe in themselves. But we're all here to live.
And that's something that i don't think most of us really look at when we think about bungie or bnet. most of us think HALO2 or Halo , but we don't really think about the implications of life. Sure, bungie has made some great games, but they are here to contribute to more than just making something: they were out to make something that is worthwhile and enjoyable. and as we all see, its been a success.
Someone once said "any moment you enjoy is not a wasted moment". That means that sure, you could be sitting on your xbox for the entire day, but if you have fun, it cant be bad for you. I won't say doing so is good for your physical health, but if you can feel better about life because of a game, then you've just succeeded in fulfilling bungie's reason for being.
And they made bnet for people to share their thoughts on the games, and other things as well. The mod's picked to moderate these forums are people who keep the peace, bring us joy, and make us laugh. We can't look at them as police officers...hell, most of them are clowns as it is. Sure, one could say that without them, bnet would crumble in rampant flamming and disorder...but i think that it would just fade away slowly from the lack of attention they give to us.
The mod's here are the peacekeepers, the inspirers, etc. But then again, they also have lives, have dreams, have hopes...and we shouldn't be upset about them, we should encourage them. Nobody here will be playing bungie games in 20 years...because most of us will simply outgrow videogames (unless your reading this and only 10 years old). We all know that videogames are a great way to have fun, but there is a certain point in all of our lives that we lose interest in them. Some of us just grow out of them.
But while we're here, we should cherish these moments of fun and glory. Don't complain and moan and -blam!- that something is wrong, look at it as just another step up the totem pole. We should be greatful that we have a great site like this to post our thoughts and ideas, because alot of people will never have such a chance. That is what i have to say.
Nothing here was meant to make any discussion of any kind. If you respond to me from my statement, i will not respond back because i will not read it. Consider it my words to the leaving of Reiginko, whom i didn't know very well, didn't have exceptionally good experiences with, but realize that he's just another guy like the rest of us. If you have something you'd like to say to me, don't waste it on this thread, pm me instead.
