My god. He (and Sigma) should have a special title. Retired Ninja or something.
-TGP-

Well, Reiginko should.

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program

sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

why not one for sigma??? And did anyone else notice that he logged on today?

  • 11.23.2005 9:29 AM PDT

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Because Sigma did not say "I quit", he just stopped logging in and doing his Ninja stuff, so he was stripped of his power. He does log in to keep his account alive, but he won't log in again for another 3 months.

I think a Retired Ninja title for Reigi would be great. He certainly deserves it.

Wow... Seeing Reiginko with the normal text, normal avatar and the role of Member is surreal. I think I'll just go cry in that corner.

Indeed. Someone posted a link to a thrad he once posted in, and it took me a minute to find his post, because I was looking for Alric, not that Gnome deely.

And where are we gonna find a corner big enough for all of us Septagonians?

There will never be a corner big enough. We have lost a friend, one that has served and entertained us thoroughly. The corner is hypothetical.

ah man that sucks (though it seems I'm kinda late). I remember when there was a big disagreement going on over in The Maw and Reiginko and a few other mods came in to clear it up. He always talked intelligently, which is rare; especially here (no offense anyone). I know that although he didn't visit the Maw very much I will still be sad to see him leave :(

Bye Bye Charles

Charels, so that is his name. Too bad I didn't know that till after he left.

Funny how we don't have a name till we leave Bungie.net. Well when one leaves the world of Bungie and enter back into real life I guess it is time to put the Bungie persona aside.

We have a name. We even have our real name. But whether others know said name is up to the member. For instance, I could say what my real name is right now. Would others care? A few, if any, would even remember after a while. Our persona is merely so we have a unique name. Can you imagine how many other Charles there must be on Bungie.net? So this mask we wear is one of identification, and nothing more.

Dang. I made this nice thing for Reig in Artpad, but it's still not working. That took a lot of time too.

But mainly, it went something like this(shortened, and using a paintbrush):

Reig,

We all want you to know that all of B.Net is saddened by your loss. But the most important thing to tell you is, simply, thanks. Thanks for all that you've done for us. And good luck in all of your future endeavors. Thanks Reig.

If I drank, I would have everyone join in a toast.

But the toast just doesn't have the same effect when the leader has a can of Diet Coke in his hand.

You mean he didn't? Man, and I had bought roses and everything to put on his grave.

Does anyone know his address then? I could ship the roses to him instead.

lol. Well, he is dying, in a way. To us at least. He was a great guy, and we'll probably never see him again. So, in a sort of metaphorical sense, he's on his death bed right now.

We're getting Body Politic back to a sense or normality now, after a consensus has been built on having me installed as King in Reiginko's absence. Even after six months as the 'Prime Minister' there it seems odd to now be in absolute control of a 200+ member forum, especially after the old boy himself has been my superior for so long and was an integral part of the place. I really never thought I'd be filling his shoes; and it's not a particularly pleasant experience - I'd rather he were filling his shoes. :(

Still, we move on!
