Subject: Female Spartans

The Female body has stronger legs than the Male body. So Female Spartans would run faster and kick harder. case in point, Kelly. Male Spartans would have more upper body strength though.

  • 12.19.2010 5:04 PM PDT

Yes, I'm a furry. And yes, I like men. So what?

Not really. Seeing as their augmentations have boosted their physical attributes to inhuman proportions, many of the female Spartans may have (and have) developed better physical attributes than males.

For instance:

- Kelly: The fastest SPARTAN in existence

- Linda: The most proficient marksman out of the entire SPARTAN II class.

- Adriana: Easily as powerful as her male teammates, Mike and Jai.

Females are usually more flexible than males.
But males have a better Reach.

Anti-Teabag self-destruct mechanisms ftw

Lol, the spartans having kids would be normal kids. The "augmentations" built them better. In no way would that alter their genes and change their kids. Given they still have a great gene pool because their parents would have been selected from a narrow gene pool.

Actually the spartans would pass on some of the things they got from the augmentations. This was proven in I Love Bees when they told that the kids of the spartan I's got some of their parents augmentations.

err men beat women in the 100 meters most of the time in terms of time as well as other distances.

Women have advantages over men and vice versa, each has its faults and qualities, for example, women have a greater patience than men which would make better snipers, they are also generally more conservative, it would be difficult to list all the benefits.

I am not trying to be sexist in any way but physically wouldn't a male be better than a female in every way? The only real reason for having female Spartans is for their mental capabilities, but that's all I can think of...

Not when they are physically augmented, at that point, their testosterone levels and estrogen levels are altered, and overall they have a little less strength than a male spartan. But strength isn't always the best option, sometimes it weighs you down, and kelly eventually catches up to you and kicks your sorry ass.
Yeah, Kelly is the fastest human alive, with a top speed of around 34 KpH.

Linda is a brilliant shot.

Kat was a tech master.

And apparently, one female spartan killed an insructor at the age of 7, and another rewired the security system to spy on her teachers. At the same age.

All spartans are badass, no doubt.

Stronger, maybe, but everything other than that have been proven to not be true. The fastest Spartan is female, and the most capable Sniper is a female. (Who shot out 7 banshees hanging upside-down using only one arm to aim) Each Spartan II usually have some sort of specialization, and others may simply be more well-rounded, but female Spartan IIs are by no means any less effective than a male Spartan II.

I believe John 117 is the most capable spartan. Seeing as how he single-handedly saved the human race and all.

He single handedly had a problem killing one Elite.
He had no shields, no weapon, and was facing a suicidally determined Elite SpecOps officer with an energy sword.

Your golden argument is no longer valid.

Uh. I Love Bees is non-canon. Besides, you do even know how reproduction works? The only traits that are passed on are genetic traits, and even then only the genetic trairs present in the sex cells of the parents.

Not a single one of the S-I or S-II or S-III augmentations was genetic. If they're not genetic, it's literally inmpossible for any trait to be passed on from parent to child.

A possible, I say again, possible side effect was reduced sex drive. Not eliminated. QED, SPARTANs could have kids, and their kids would normal, aside from having exceptionally genetically fit parents.

Nope men have stronger legs too. IRL SPARTANS would be all male, augumentations can't change bone structure. Men also have brains better suited for combat , which is why men park better.

What does combat have to do with parking????

CoD is a good game, even if the Halo series are better in some aspects. Anyone who insults either is just bad in that game. Grow up.

Kelly can run up to 62 KpH and 38.5 MpH, not 34 KpH, and that's not even the maximum, if you think about it. MC, during his test run with the Mjolnir V, briefly ran at a speed of 105 KpH (65mph), but the strain from doing so tore his achilles tendons. (from halopedia, mentioned in TFoR pg 264)

Btw, the 6 year old that spied on her teachers through an intelligence network between classmates is Linda.

Halo set hundreds of years in the future, Bungie can have anything they want to happen. And the bone structure was not changed at all, the bones were reinforced and buffed up a ton to minimize bone breakage, the structure of the bones was not changed at all.

How do you know that Spartans would only be male irl? If a female matches the qualifications for being a Spartan they will be selected for the program, women are better at some things than men, just because men have more testosterone and are more designed for fighting does not mean that women are weaklings and can't fight. There are some men who are weaker than women and would get there butts trashed by a girl, it all depends on the person.

I cannot speak for the spartan II program but gradual births between spartans would create the perfect 'natural' spartans that could effectivly become a sub-species or make the operations compatable to a larger population allowng the UNSC to train more spartans and to better equip them, basicly making spartans affordable for there demand against the insurrection or the Covenant

Spartans IIs can't reproduce....

They can... Its there sex drive that was crushed (the thing that makes you want to get busy) not there fertility...

they did this to stop another group of spartan 1.1's

One space, two Cars and alot of hot lead.

The parking thing is that men are better are better at analysing parking spots/ battle feilds in their heads . I'm not sexist but the best soldiers humanity has to offer will be male. Men have bigger hearts bigger lungs , so they can oxygenate muscles more and men have narrower hips , so they can run better and their knees are less likely to break under stress. Sorry for spelling English isn't my firsy language.

Don't mind about the gender because it depends on strength.Males can run faster than females an females can run faster than males.A male could be smarter than a female and somethimes females are smarter than boys.In halo Reach they are mostly but differences is size, colors, and gender.

If I remember correctly the terminated sex drive wasn't intended. I believe it was listed in Side-effects of the augmentations.

It was, that was one of the more likely side-affects, but it wasn't a definite one, so there are probably some Spartan IIs that have a perfectly normal sex-drive, however, I think they would still put duty to humanity over personal needs, like all the rest of the Spartans.

Look at 30 mile marathon runs , males are still quicker . The females can endure more pain is also a myth , males and females feel pain both the same.

Men and women have nearly the same number of nerve endings (excluding -blam!- organs, where there is a huge difference), the difference being womens, due to their generally smaller build have them "closer" together, meaning they are more sensitive, of which an increased sesitivity to pain is obvious.

Pain endurance is up to the individual, however men aren't as sensitive, therefore feel "less" pain for any given injury (assuming a male and female both sustained the exact same injury).
