I don't want Reach for the PC, some of the reasons are the following:
1. It would open the game up to more modders, and a lot of them wouldn't be modding for fun like they often do in H1 PC, instead they would be cheating (because of the ranking system).
2. I have no idea why the OP said consoles are less reliable than PC's, but that just isn't true. Consoles are built with gaming in mind specifically. My consoles have hardly ever crashed, and the gameplay on all games is smoother on the console at highest settings, because it is completely devoted to playing the game. PC's crash often.
3. Keyboard and mouse are uncomfortable, and it is a pain to use them. You could say "plug in your 360 controller" which I already do whenever I have to play a PC FPS, but the responsiveness is decreased significantly compared to the 360.
Anyway, those are just 3 IMO's of why I wouldn't play a PC version of Reach.
I'm sorry, but this post is fail on all levels.
1. What do you care if there are modders on the PC version? They won't affect the console version. Also, most modders on PC make cool community mods, not hacks to cheat.
2. Games are smoother on consoles? Yeah because Halo games at 30fps is smooth.. =\ My PC would be destroying Reach. Most modern PCs would. Also, console games run at low resolutions and many don't have AA or decent AF.
3. Input is polled exactly the same on PC as it is on the Xbox. Each game update gets the current input state. Also, since PC games are able to run at higher framerates, their responsiveness is actually quite superior. Unless of course you are playing it on a Walmart laptop or a 5 year old desktop.
No opinions about it man, sorry. PC games may not be for you and that's fine; you can stick to the Xbox version.
