Also did the chapter say that Earth it the human homeworld? or did it say that humans were just exiled from it.

Also I have a theory! Remember how because the humans lost their species began to split into other species. What if....just what if....the Spartan-IIs are "PURE" humans. Basically Spartan-IIs are descendants of humans from the human-forerunner war who remained pure.
This would also make sense since Chief is called a "reclaimer" instead of any other human like Johnson.

All Humans are Reclaimers. In Halo 2 they need Miranda Keyes to activate Halo, in Halo 3 they use Johnson.

"I have found your man. What do you want me do?"

As annoying as you've been, I must congratulate you. You've shown some true dedication to trolling, sir and/or ma'am.

Feel the power of limitless zeroes!

I've read 3/4 of the book the last 40 pages to go. Its been VERY interesting to say the least. Apparently, the humans had engaged the flood and then close on the heels of this war (which astonishingly humans actually WON) they also engaged the forerunners as well in a "land war" of sorts, humans needed more terraformed and life supporting planets after the flood wars. Its been noted that they made sacrifices in some humans who passed a genetic string on to any flood they came in to contact with, which pretty much destroyed them. only a few remaining flood escaped to an unknown location. Needless to say, the forerunners DECIMATED the already weakened humans. The humans, however had SURPASSED the precursers technologically and imprisoned an as yet unknown enemy, a feat even the forerunners don't understand how they accomplished. another interesting bit info is that the san'shyuum and the humans were allied in their war with the flood...this is all I have figured out so far but hopefully the last few pages are eye openers. I think the imprisoned one is actually the original gravemind, as Mendicant Bias is already going rogue. but I'll post my find soon!

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I cant bare to read it right now. I hate reading into stories insteed of starting with the first chapter.

Maybe later, I'll read some. I wish I could have gotten the book.

just got done reading cryptum. A must have book. It opens a whole lot of new theories unfortunately. I personally think for 343 to go into the past with forerunner society, thats where master chief ended up.

I personally think, after just finishing the book myself, that hes not in the past, but in his present time, but the "Dark Planet" hes drifting towards at the end of H3 is one shield world of the "few" the Didact had actually constructed, where he will find some forerunners NOT the other members of Blue Team/Red Team/Beta Company/Team Saber/Team Katana and Dr. Halsey, though they may eventually find them.

But hey, I am probably wrong. Just a theory.=/
